Regulations – Roberto Rossellini Film Festival 2025
1. Organization

The Cultural Association CS-COMSPE organizes the Roberto Rossellini Film Festival – RRFF, awarding the following categories:

Short Films and Video Clips

Feature Films

(in and out of competition).

2. Objectives

To enhance, promote, and disseminate cinematographic, audiovisual, and filmic expression activities through films, shorts, and video clips as:

a form of visual and sound expression,

a true art form,

a means of social and cultural communication.

The festival aims to develop the potential of artistic visual language, meet the needs of cultural growth, highlight creative talents (directors and filmmakers), and offer them the greatest possible visibility.

3. Deadlines

The deadline for submission of films/video clips will be announced on the official website:

4. Sections and Age

There are no age limits.

5. Special Section

Out-of-competition films will be marked with the code RRFF-FFC.

They will not be eligible for awards, but will receive distinctions of merit and special mention.

6. Duration

Short Films: up to 20 minutes (including credits).

Video Clips: up to 6 minutes (including credits).

Medium-Length Films: minimum 20 minutes, maximum 50 minutes (including credits).

Feature Films: over 50 minutes (including credits).

7. Language and Subtitles

Italian authors: films in Italian (subtitles not mandatory).

Non-Italian authors: films must be subtitled in Italian and/or English.
(e.g., a short filmed in Arabic must be subtitled in English and/or Italian).

8. Awards

The following prizes will be awarded:

Best Feature Film

Best Short Film

Best Video Clip

Audience Award

Additional prizes may be introduced, such as Best Director, Best Actor, Best Actress, Best Creative Idea.

9. Jury

The jury is composed of the artistic director, directors, set designers, photographers, actors, journalists, producers, and other cinema, TV, and audiovisual professionals.

Awards will be assigned at their sole discretion.

Ex aequo prizes are not allowed.

10. Entry Rules

Open to all, with no age, race, or religion restrictions.

Only films not previously selected in earlier editions are eligible.

The regulations must be signed on every page.

For minors, parental or teacher authorization is required.

Films must be submitted in PAL DVD format, indicating title, author, and duration.

For the PRO category: a Press CD must also be attached containing technical details, cast, trailer, scene photos, poster, and promotional material.

All submitted material remains the property of the organization and may be used for the promotion of the festival and its partners/sponsors.

11. Submission of Materials

The package must contain:

2 DVD copies of the film/clip,

1 Press CD,

the entry form,

release statement,

signed regulations.

Materials may be sent by post to the official address or online via Festhome.com

12–21. Expenses, Ownership, Authorization, Pre-Selections, Selections, Screenings, Reproduction, General Rules, Acceptance, Reception, Disputes

(Remain as in the original, now reorganized with clear numbering).

Additional Notes (A–K)

Detailed instructions on:

completing the entry form,

original or commercial music rights,

DVD labeling,

submission of photos and posters,

delivery deadlines,

use and dissemination of works.

Acceptance Signature
