Saint Anna: Student & Debut Short Film Festival ()

'Saint Anna' is the oldest Russian film festival for students which is based in Moscow in 1993. The fesival runs more than 30 years, has awarded more than 100 filmmakers such as Timur Bekmambetov, Aleksander Kott, Nurbek Egen, Aleksey German Jr and many others.

At the moment of its founding the Festival was counted as international because the competition included student works from the former USSR republics and Batlic states. From 1999 to 2005 the Festival presented the special programs of filmschools among the world, and also accepted the films were shot in Russian language in many contries.

From 2025 the Festival stated the official International Copmetition of the short films from Cinema Schools (student cometition).

Russian premiere

Submissions are open to short student form of genre — fiction and documentary, we welcome any work within the medium.

Films must no longer be more than 25 minutes, year of production 2024/2025

Fees:

Regular fee: 5.00 €
Student and Pro: 2.50 €

Materials Required:

Original version of films (with English subtitles as separate file).

Films submitted via Festhome or Vimeo link or Google drive.

NOTIFICATION DATE IS 12TH OF MARCH:

You will be notified if your film has been selected on the notification date of the 12th of March 2025


Catalogue and Press Material:

Submit synopses, cast and credits, director biography and filmography, promotional images, and a director’s comment.

Promotion:

Use the official 'Saint Anna' logo in all promotional activities.

Hospitality: no

Films presents by authors via video message. Awards will be sent via Embassies

Usage Rights:

Submitters must hold all necessary rights (or Cinema schools' admission) for the film's festival use as the festival.
