The cinema we defends :

Sans Raison seeks to gather films from urgent desires and without concessions. Oftently, these films are marginal, out of the norm for institutions that prefer to put consensual forms in the spotlight. The others film occupy only the narrow circle of cinephilia.
If Sans Raison is placed at the heart of this cinema unknown to the general public, which disturbs because it shake up the codes, it's also to take it out of its niche.


The open call :

We will seek in each film sent to find the sincere and personal vision, which makes your work something unique before being categorise in a genre, a current, a fashion, an influence.
We’re finally looking for you.

If we have named this first call for projects « Catch the invisible » it's because we think that cinema is a very nice way to make feel the invisible worlds that surround us. The cinema is able to suggest them as to affirm them, even to demonstrate their existence. Any poetic, experimental and sensory approach are welcome.

Selected films will be promoted through our social media channels and website. This includes Facebook, Instagram, Vimeo.
For each selected film, an adapted and sponsored post will be dedicated to it.
The films must be sent to Sans Raison who will download them and then offer them on its Vimeo channel.

We are doing everything we can to ensure that magazines, influential pages and film industry representatives can be reached.

Since most of the 2020/2021 festivals are virtual, we want to create distance links between the selected artists. While offering a wide audience a content of choice.

To give life to this first open call we need everyone’s energy.

Maximum duration: 1 to 59 minutes.

Any country in the world.

Subtitles: if the original language of the dialogues or texts presented in the film is not english or French.

Genres: All genres.

Digital file (Full HD 1920 x 1080).

By submitting your film, you agree that Sans Raison may use certain parts of your film (including a trailer/teaser/poster of the film) for promotional purposes.

We do not accept the following:
Extremist or propaganda content from religious or political organizations.

Films made before 2017.

With respect to intellectual property, you are fully responsible for the approval of the music, sound, images or graphics contained in your application.

If a production, a distributor, or the press contacts us about your film, we will obviously make the connection between these professionals and you.
