1 - Eligibility
Films produced from January 1st, 2022;
Unpublished in São Tomé and Príncipe (preferably);
Not available on the web (preferably).
Categories:
African Competition (Short Film, Feature Film, documentary, animation).
International Competition (Short Film, Feature Film, documentary, animation).

3 - submissions?
National Competitions (The Filmmakers can submit their works using the forms available.)
African and International Competition (The Filmmakers can use Filmfreeway.com e Festhome.com platforms to submit their works).
4 - Subtitles
All submitted works must contain the .srt subtitle files in PT-pt or EN-en.
5 - Selection
The organizing committee carries out the selection of the competing works and informs the competitors with selected works through its communication channels. The selection results will be announced from October 1, available on the festival's website and social media.
Registration may also imply selection in Partner Film Festivals of SÃO TOMÉ FESTFILM.
SÃO TOMÉ FESTFILM reserves the right to use images from selected films for marketing and promotional purposes on digital channels as deemed necessary.

The 6th edition of SÃO TOMÉ FESTFILM will take place in the City of São Tomé and Príncipe from October 23 to 26, 2024
8 – Personal Data Collection and Protection Policy
The General Data Protection Regulation of the European Union (GDPR) – Regulation (EU) 2016/679 of the European Parliament and of the Council of April 27, 2016, establishes rules regarding the protection of personal data of individuals. It applies directly to the legal framework of all Member States, imposing a series of obligations, particularly on public legal entities. In Portugal, the implementation of the GDPR is further ensured by Law No. 58/2019 of August 8.
SÃO TOMÉ FESTFILM collects and processes personal data strictly essential for the pursuit of its responsibilities, notably for the purpose of identifying the author of the works and their public disclosure through its digital platforms.
9 - Others
Any doubts or questions that may arise will be clarified or resolved by the organizing committee. Selected films may be included in non-commercial exhibitions or extensions of the festival. Submission of the application implies acceptance of the terms of this REGULATION.
