Short Film Week held in Sonseca with activities parallel to the screenings.

Cash Prizes: 5,400€

• AWARDS:

a. Jury Prize: €1,200 and a statuette. The jury will be composed of professionals from the film and cultural worlds.

b. Audience Award: €1,500 and a statuette. For the short film with the most votes from the audience attending the screenings.

c. Antonio Cerrillo Award for Human Values: €500 and a statuette. Awarded by the Association of Friends of Antonio Cerrillo.

d. Best Actor/Actress Award: €300 and a statuette. Awarded by the Jury.

e. Best Director Award: €300 and a statuette. Awarded by the Jury.

f. Rc Service Award for Best Photography: €500 discount on materials and a statuette. Awarded by the Jury.

g. Villa de Sonseca Award: €300 and a statuette. Awarded by the Jury to the best short film in the LOCAL section.

h. Best Animated Short Film Award: €500 and Statuette. Awarded by the Jury to the best short film in the ANIMATION section.

i. Best Soundtrack Award: €300 and Statuette. Awarded by the Jury.

RULES FOR THE 10TH SONSECA SHORT FILM WEEK 2025

⦁ Participation in this Competition is open to short films of any nationality, theme, and genre.

⦁ Films shot in any format, silent or with built-in sound, of Spanish nationality, produced after January 1, 2023, may be submitted to the Competition.

⦁ Each author may submit a maximum of two works.

⦁ The maximum length of short films in competition:

A. In the GENERAL section, it will not exceed 30 minutes.

B. In the LOCAL section, it will not exceed 5 minutes.

C. In the ANIMATION section, it will not exceed 10 minutes.

⦁ Films must be submitted in Spanish or in the original version with Spanish subtitles.

⦁ Registration can be completed from April 1st to July 1st, 2025.

⦁ Participants are responsible for ensuring that their submitted works are not subject to any legal claims. In any case, the organization will not be responsible for the general content of the short films.

⦁ Registrations must be submitted via ⦁ WWW.FESTHOME.COM in one of the three available sections: GENERAL, LOCAL, or ANIMATION.

⦁ Any works that wish to participate may be submitted to the GENERAL section. Only works in which at least 20% were filmed in Sonseca (Toledo) or whose story takes place in that town may be submitted to the LOCAL section. IT IS NOT POSSIBLE TO ENTER THE SAME WORK IN BOTH SECTIONS. Only animated works, regardless of their subject matter, may be submitted to the ANIMATION section.

⦁ The decisions of the Selection Committee and the Jury are final.

⦁ The selected films will be included in the Festival Catalog and will be screened in public sessions during the Festival. Screening dates will be announced in the Festival Program.

⦁ The screening copies of the winning short films will remain the property of the Festival, which will use them solely for non-profit purposes.

⦁ All expenses incurred in shipping the selected copies will be borne by the participants, and their return will be the responsibility of the Festival.

⦁ The awards ceremony will take place in person. At least one person from the winning short film's team must be present to collect the award. The Festival reserves the right to reduce the prize money if this is not possible.

⦁ Films selected for proper screening must be sent in DCP format in any of the following resolutions: 1920x1980; 1998x1080; 2048x858; 2048x1080. 48kHz / 24-bit audio.

⦁ All participants, by virtue of their participation, fully accept these rules, as well as the Organization's resolution of any issue not covered by them.
