Rules and Regulations

Entries for the SHORT CUTS International Short Film Festival 2025 are open for everyone.

The Short Film can be based on any subject or concept.
The Short Film can be in any language. However, all films must include sub-titles in English.

All entries must be accompanied by labelled still photographs, posters and trailer from the films for use in the promotion. The festival can use posters, photographs and trailers of the entries through our social media network.

The film must be of highest quality possible.
Only producer or director has rights to submit Short Films/Music Albums/Documentaries

Due credits must be given to the cast and the crew in the film though the final prize would go to the director(s)/producer(s)

The total runtime of the Short Film, including opening & closing credits, should strictly be a minimum of 3 minutes and a maximum of 60 minutes.

All content used in the short film must be either owned or licensed. If any copyrighted material is used in the film, the participant must have the permission and submit a copy to the Festival Organizers.

The Last Date for Submissions is 15th of every month 2025.

The Entry Fee is INR 1500 per film.

Multiple entries from the same participant are accepted, but each film must be accompanied by a separate form and entry fee.

The short films that are selected for final screening will not be allowed to withdraw under any circumstances until the festival is over.

Monthly Screening will start on 20th of every month for official selection. Competition for nomination of final round will start on 25th of every month.

SHORT CUTS International Short Film Festival 2025 will be held between May to December. Every month there will be competition for nomination of final competition. Award event will be held on January 2026.

Judges’ decision will be final and binding.

Festival Organizers reserve the right to change / modify / alter any rule or its part or event of this competition anytime.
