Enter the Hollywood Short Film Awards to gain exposure and recognition for your best short or enter your best feature film as a sample of your work... Plus a chance to win up to $25,000 in production funding for your NEXT short film.

Short films are considered for the Hollywood Short Film Awards and for funding on your next short film project.

Feature films, TV pilots, and other produced work is considered for funding on your next short film project.



- Up to 25,000 annually in production funds for your next short film project

- Monthly Hollywood Short Film Award (for produced short films)

- Help increase exposure to Hollywood professionals seeking fresh voices

1. The entrant fully owns the rights to the intellectual property of any material that has been entered into the competition

2. All entries must be in electronic form (scripts must be entered in PDF, DOC, DOCX, FDR, or FDX format; short films must be entered as a link from Vimeo or YouTube - password protection is allowed and is optional if the video is not currently accessible to the public)

3. Material that has been submitted to other competitions, contests, or festivals ALLOWED (and the entrant is free to continue submitting it to other competitions, contests and festivals)

4. Adaptations are allowed only if the entrant has obtained the rights to adapt the source material (and can provide proof upon request)

5. International entries ALLOWED (screenplays must be written in English; short films must either have English dialogue or may include English subtitles)

6. Awards and Production Funding Prize Amounts are subject to change at the sole discretion of the administrators and judges of the competition. Awards are given on a monthly basis. Production grant amounts are awarded once annually at the end of the yearly cycle to a winner chosen from the pool of contenders (monthly award winners) and are decided based on the content, implied budget requirements, and other factors such as the overall merit of the winning project

7. There are NO limitations on the completion dates of the scripts or short films entered into the competition

8. The entrant is at least 18 years of age (or must provide a letter of consent from a parent or legal guardian)
