Smita National Short Film Festival is organised by Murli Productions, Mumbai which is in film production. The main aim of this festival is to recognise the talented short film, documentry and video song album makers in India. There is no fees for submitting the work.

The best short movie will get cash price of Rs. 5000/-

The Best Documentary shall be cash prize of Rs. 5000/-

The Best song shall get cash prize of Rs. 2000/-

In addition to the cash prize, all the winners will get certificate of excellence and trophy.

There would be other categories for the following -

Best Director

Best Actor/Actress

Best Cinematographer

Best Editor

Best Makeup

Best Choreography

These category will get certification and the trophy.

The decision of the Jury and the Smita Short Film Festival Team shall be final and binding on the participants.

Film Duration : Up to 15 Minutes (including credit list)

2. Eligibility : Open to all age groups

3. English subtitles compulsory for films in any languages other than English, Hindi & Marathi

4. If the Film is selected for the screening, The Participant shall have to submit the movie in the format as informed by the Festival within 3 days of receiving such request.

5. All submission should be made through email on the email ID smitaawards@gmail.com. The Participant shall share the youtube link of the Short Movie on this email ID with the identity and address proof and photograph of the participant.

6. All the participants shall be bound by the terms and conditions of this festival.

7. The film submitted by the participant shall be checked by the screening committee for taking final decision to choose the winner, official selection etc..

8. If any of the film is selected by the selection committee for the awards, the winner shall be bound to accept the awards which are declared for such winner and the winner shall not be able to claim any other benefit or award from the festival. Decision of the Selection Committee and festival shall be final and binding on the winner and participants in relation to the awards, official selection etc.

9. The participants and the winner shall authorise and hereby give irrevocable permission to the festival to publish their short film/documentary/songs etc. Submitted by them to the festival in any media including TV, radio print media, YouTube , Murli Productions you tube channel, festivals screening page, festivals face book page and shall allow the festival to use and publish them on any of their live festival events. The participants also hereby gives consent to the festival to use participants photos and names and publish them in any media with their short film, music album, documentary etc. Also Participant agrees that festival may share the work submitted by the Participant with its partners, associates etc. for promotion. Irrespective of whatever stated in this clause 4, it shall be sole discretion of the festival to publish or not publish any work.

10. All the copies of the work submitted by the participant shall be retained by the festival for its cultural, non-commercial, nonprofits festivals and archival screening in the future.

11. Only the work which is selected by the selection committee will only be eligible for the screening at the sole discretion of the committee and the festival.

12. All the participants agree and confirm that the work submitted by them is their original work, they have full rights to it and they have not used any material which is copyright of any third party. Incise if it is found that the participant is using the copyright material of any third party, such work shall not be selected /eligible for the festival and the participant shall indemnify and keep the festival,Smita National Short Film Festival, Its Organisers, Murli Productions, Its Owners, Office Staff Etc indemnified from any dispute arising out of the same.

13. Festival may any time cancel any submission or even selected winners due to breach of the terms of the festival or bad behaviour of the participant or for any other reason which the festival may deem fit.

14. Festival selection committee shall have all the rights to select the short film/documenry/song which is as per the requirement of this festival and at the sole discretion of the selection committee.

15. The participant shall ensure that it has taken all the consents and permissions for its work which is including but not limited to permission from any person whose work is being utilised by the participant for making the short movie/documentary/music album and for shooting its short movies. Also participant shall ensure that it shall not offend national feelings and shall ensure that it shall not promote discrimination on the basis of gender, caste, creed, religion or language etc. The Participant agrees that the film and its contents including music is owned by him/her/it.

16. Festival may add, change any rules and regulations any time without any notice to the participant.

17. All participants’ entry shall be considered as valid if submitted as per the submission schedule and if the fee is paid as per the schedule of fees.

18. Festival shall have full rights to change the dates and venue of the festival any time without any notice to the participant. Participant agrees that it shall have no objection on the same.

19. The decision of the selection committee and the festival shall be final and binding on the participant.

20. The festival may change the location of the screening any time at its own discretion. If the participant wishes to participate in the screening, it shall have to intimate the same in writing to the festival and participant shall have to make its own arrangement for travelling to the festival location and arrange for all its/his/her other expenses including food, lodging and boarding. Festival, organisers shall not be responsible for the same. All rules for the participation shall be communicated to the participant.

21. Only winners and selected participants shall be communicated through email if they are selected for the participation or award
