The Anaqueronte Cultural Association (Member of the Points of Culture Network), invites you to be part of the new call for TARPUY - Original Film Festival which will be held from April 28 to 30, 2021 in Arequipa, Peru in face-to-face and/or virtual format (according to the health provisions of the current context).

It drives us to continue contributing to the democratization of access to different eyes of cinema. With TARPUY - Festival of Original Cinema we seek to "sow" among the participants a sense of community, multicultural and multilingual encounter. Our call is open to all countries and all languages. Dubbing will not be accepted, movies must maintain their original sound spirit with subtitles especially in Spanish or other than in English or French. Participatory meeting activities will also be scheduled (workshops, talks, presentations, etc.)

The jury will choose a winner and a special mention by category, as well as awards for best direction, photography, script, acting, thematic idea

Fiction, documentary or experimental feature films, that have been made in any language and that the years of production are between 2010 and 2020.

Meeting of native peoples

Proposals for meeting and training activities will be scheduled, such as workshops, lectures, book presentations, talks, etc. that allow us to give political value to the idiomatic, as well as ethnographic contexts and exchanges with other festivals and / or film encounters of native peoples.

GENERAL REQUIREMENTS FOR FILMS:

1.- A person must present the short and / or feature film as the owner of the rights. The owner or producer is the person who will sign the terms and conditions before the festival and declares with a sworn statement that all the intellectual property of the short belongs to or has paid the corresponding rights to image, sound and materials. The owner of the film will be the main producer of the same and from the acceptance of the terms and conditions described here, will be responsible for everything inherent to the registered audiovisual production, both against the festival and against any claim from a third party.

2.- Participants will be able to present themselves with the number of films they wish in each category of the festival; as well as proposals for training and exchange activities.

3.- Short films must have a minimum duration of 1 minute and a maximum of 20 minutes (including final credits).

4.- Feature films must have a minimum duration of 40 minutes and no length limit.

5.- Films will be received in their original language and should preferably have subtitles in Spanish or, failing that, in English or French.

6.- Once the films have been selected, they cannot be withdrawn from the programming or be presented in a free form on free or paid exhibition platforms. Participants agree to place the festival's designs and palmares in the opening or ending credits.

7.- The selection of a film implies the free transfer of the rights of projection of the work within the framework of TARPUY - Festival de Cine Originario (both the face-to-face and / or virtual exhibitions of the festival and the roaming cycles).

8.- The Festival organization may withdraw, at any time, audiovisual production that does not comply with any of the bases. Likewise, the falsification of the production information or the data consigned in the registration form will mean the disqualification and exclusion of the material from the category in which it participates.

9.- Participation in this call implies full knowledge and acceptance of the terms and requirements indicated in this document. All decisions of the organizer will be final and irrevocable.

10.- The preselection of works, in each category and subcategories, will be carried out by the festival selection committee made up of the programming team and by the external advisers of the Anaqueronte Cultural Association.

11.- For the competitive section, a jury will be appointed that will be made up of professionals related to international cinema and culture. Those people who have any link with the production or exploitation of the films presented in the competition may not be part of the jury. The jury will choose a winner and a special mention per category, as well as awards for best direction, photography, script, acting, thematic idea, etc. the jury's decision being final.

14.- By accepting the legal terms and conditions, the participant knows and authorizes TARPUY® in a free, prior, voluntary, express and duly informed manner; and the Anaqueronte Artistic Cultural Association to collectctar, register, process, disseminate, compile, exchange, update and dispose of the data or partial and / or total information provided at the time of registration on the website www.anaqueronte.org or at www.festhome.com

As well as the total or partial exhibition is authorized, by open television and / or by subscription, commercial and / or alternative movie theaters; and by any other audiovisual means that the organization considers pertinent, including the internet, social networks and any other web platform, in any audiovisual and communication medium or by any platform developed and to be developed, which will be communicated to the participants in a timely manner.
