Theta Short Film Festival
The TSFF is an International short film competition, created with the aim of providing directors with the opportunity to express their artistic poetics. Our mission is to encourage and support authors around the world in order to provide the recognition and satisfaction they deserve. We accept short films of all genres.
The TSFF wants to create connections between directors, producers, studios, viewers. The festival is organized by people who believe in the art and communicative power of cinema. The Official Selection includes a number of 40 short films, chosen by a quality jury.
We revise the submitted works every month.
Cinema is essence of the soul.
In the first year the event will take place on two dates at the headquarters of the "Proteatro" in Baiano (AV)/ and “Cinema Partenio” in Avellino. The projection of each work will be followed by a dissussion between the author and the spectators.
There are also specific categories for “Short Animation”, “Short DOC”, “Music Video” and other.
Cash Prizes: 500€

Current award categories and prizes are subject to little change.
The winners should be screened at “Cinema Partenio” (Avellino, Italy)
Authors of the works will be interviewed at the live event.
Those who will not be present at the live event must promptly notify the festival.
Authors of the short films (in case of absence) can send a video of themselves where they briefly hear their work, or connect via video call.
1. We accept films of all genres. (Completion date after January 2017)
2. If your film is eligible for other categories then our programmers will consider it for those also.
3. All Entries Must be subtitled in English
4. The selected films will have to send the supplementary material when contacted by the Festival Direction.
- High res. short film poster (.jpg or .tiff, 300 or more dpi)
- Synopsis in Italian of the short film
- Digital close-up photo of the director
- Director's biography (maximum 500 characters)
5. TSFF can use trailer/teaser/film poster/stills or BTS for promotional purpose (but do not release, under any form or circumstances, the full film)
6. Entry fees are non-refundable
7. The submitter owns all the rights to the film
8. The selected works must be sent with wetransfer (or other) to thetashortfilmfestival@outlook.it, penalty for exclusion
9. TSFF winners that will go into yearly programme must send copy of the film without subtitles and .srt file with english subtitles within 2 weeks from official announcment
Festhome holds accountable fees festivals by holding the payment of the fees of most newer festivals until they have viewed the submissions, held their festivals and other methods.
