2nd VILLANUEVA DE GÁLLEGO SHORT FILM FESTIVAL

SEPTEMBER 2026

Humor and Comedy Short Film Festival.

Short films made by directors from any country in the world may participate, provided they are in Spanish.

19 SEPTEMBER 2026
Venue: SALA CAPITOL, 50830 Villanueva de Gállego, Zaragoza, Spain.

1. Participation in the festival is open to all filmmakers, individually or collectively.

2. The theme is open, with a maximum running time of 15 minutes.

3. Each author or collective may submit more than one short film. The author will retain their intellectual property rights and will be responsible for ensuring that the works are not subject to any legal liability and that no third-party rights are infringed.

4. Works must be submitted in digital HD format by uploading them to the following page:

Pre-registration must be completed by filling in all the required information on that page.

5. The deadline for receiving all works entered in the competition is midnight on July 31, 2026.

6. The organization will carry out a preliminary selection, which will be communicated to the authors.

7. The following awards are established:

Audience Award

8. The jury will be composed of prominent figures from Aragonese culture. Its decision will be final, and it may declare any of the awards void.

9. Participants are responsible for ensuring that the submitted short films are not subject to any legal claims.

10. The organization reserves the right to modify any point of these rules if circumstances so require.

11. Participation in this festival implies full
acceptance of these rules.

12. The awards will be presented at the closing gala, during which a tribute will be paid to a figure linked to Aragonese cinema.

If the winner is unable to attend, the award will be sent by registered mail.

13. It is customary at this festival for filmmakers to be present on the day their short film is screened and to introduce it to the audience themselves, or, in their absence, for someone connected to the short film to do so.

14. Once the selected works have been chosen, the program will be communicated to all filmmakers.
