The WOMEN IN FOOTBALL FILM FESTIVAL is an international competitive event with a conceptual and curatorial approach focused on women's football. The festival highlights the role of women in sports cinema by showcasing their representation in the creation, production, and dissemination of audiovisual works centered on football.
The WOMEN IN FOOTBALL FILM FESTIVAL is a space where international film productions on women's football and other related topics can come together. This is particularly important in the run-up to the 2027 Women's World Cup, which Brazil is hosting for the first time. It aims to be a true beacon for generating knowledge, providing collective support, and promoting, disseminating, reflecting on, and appreciating the football cinematography created by cis or transgender women, non-binary women, LGBTQIAPN+ women, and anyone who identify socially as a woman.
