World Smart Shorts Independent Panorama (WSSIPFest) is an international film festival dedicated to presenting ultra-short films created exclusively with smartphones, on any subject matter. The event celebrates formal minimalism and narrative maximalism while supporting independent creators working outside the mainstream film industry. The guiding motto of the Festival is: “One film – one minute – one smartphone.” Filmmakers from all over the world are welcome to participate.

The Grand Prize – “Grand Smart – Best Short Award” – offers one year of tuition-free studies in a program of the winner’s choice at the Academy of Art and Design in Łódź (Wyższa Szkoła Sztuki i Projektowania), subject to meeting the university’s formal admission requirements.

Honorary awards will be granted in the following categories:
• Best Documentary
• Best Narrative Fiction
• Best Experimental Film
• Best Music Video

Films on any subject may be submitted to the competition, provided they meet the following criteria: a maximum duration of 60 seconds (including titles and credits), shot exclusively with a smartphone, and edited using any video editing software. All film genres are accepted, except advertising content. Submissions must be made via the Festhome platform, and additionally, a completed entry form in PDF format must be emailed to the Organizer.

Submission fees are as follows:

• $5 (by August 10, 2025 – regular deadline)

• $10 (by August 31, 2025 – final deadline)

Competition selection results will be announced on September 10, 2025, and competition screenings and the final awards ceremony will take place on September 18, 2025.

Submitting a film constitutes acceptance of the Festival Regulations, consent to the processing of personal data, and the granting of a royalty-free promotional license to use the film (in full or in part) in materials related to the Festival.
