- Best Galician Short Film: €1000
- Best Young Short Film: €500
- Best Short Film - Audience Award: €500

3. The duration of each short film shall not exceed 30 minutes, including credits.
4. The deadline for submitting the works will be Tuesday, October 1, 2024, at 11:59 PM. Registration will be done through the FESTHOME platform or via the form available on the website xociviga.com.

5. For the registration and viewing of pieces whose languages are not Galician or Spanish, they must be subtitled in one of these languages or in English.
Works with embedded subtitles in another language will not be accepted.
6. The registration of the work must clearly specify who the legal representative of the work is.
In case of being awarded a monetary prize, the legal representative will receive the corresponding amount. Additionally, the author or legal representative of the short film commits to presenting works where the images and music are original or, if applicable, have the necessary permission for their use, which must be provided if required by the organization. Any payment made to the legal representative designated in the registration form will release the Organization from responsibility if the payment should be made to another person. The designated legal representative is responsible for compliance with these rules and the applicable regulations.
7. The organization reserves the right to use up to 10% of the duration of each selected piece for promotional use of the festival and the works themselves.
Participation in the Festival implies granting promotional media (television, radio, etc.) the right to broadcast excerpts of the works (with a maximum of 10% of the work). This clause also applies to media whose dissemination platform is the Internet, as well as to the festival's own social networks.
8. The selected works will be shown in full during the Festival according to the schedules of the sections indicated in the official programming grid.
Acceptance of these rules implies granting a non-exclusive right of distribution, reproduction, and public communication for a maximum period of 2 years for the stated purposes, without any other use or rights being granted.
9. Four juries are established:
Professional Jury: Composed of professionals from the audiovisual sector. It will choose the International and Galician awards.
Young Jury: Composed of students of Audiovisual Communication (from the universities of Vigo, Santiago, and A Coruña), from Training Cycles related to the audiovisual sector (image and sound, production, etc.), or from any other artistic degree. They will be in charge of deciding the New Creators award.
Audience Jury: Composed of the global set of spectators attending the different sessions. It will be responsible for the Audience Award.
Online Audience Jury: Composed of all those spectators who access our website to choose their favorite music video.
10. The awards may be declared void if any jury so decides, and in the event of a tie, the prize will be split 50%.
The juries may establish special mentions as they see fit.
11. The Organization assumes that participants hold the rights to the works they present. In any case, the Organization is not responsible for possible infringements related to this aspect.
12. The winning pieces will be screened on the last day of the festival. If not possible due to external issues to the Organization, the festival is not committed to setting a new date for their public screening.
13. The Organization reserves the right to cancel any registration or take appropriate measures in case of regulation violation.
14. If, in the interval between the selection process and the festival dates, any producer or director has been explicitly convicted of any crime classified as gender violence, they will automatically be excluded by the organization.
The Association reserves the right to apply this same rule to those convicted by a final sentence of any other crime.
15. The Organization reserves the right at any time to alter, modify, or suspend the program of the 40th Edition of Xociviga.
16. Participation in this call implies acceptance of these rules.
