The Zaragoza Film Festival, founded in 1995 to create a cinematic activity in the city. At first his main title was the Young Filmmakers. Since 2007 its official name became the Zaragoza Film Festival.

Festival with various events, generalist and national character (although some of its events are international).

From 2026 onwards, after celebrating the 30th edition of the Festival, we plan an evolution of the project.

Premi in contanti: 3,000€

The official awards of the Festival will be:

• August Award of the Jury for the Best National Fiction Short Film. 1,500€ + Trophy. This award will be complemented by the corresponding Certification for its possibility of registration in the pre-selection phase of the Candidates for the 2027 edition of the Goya Awards of the Spanish Academy of Cinematographic Arts and Sciences, within the Fiction Short Film category, as well as the pre-selection of candidates for the 2027 edition of the Fugaz Awards for Spanish short films)

• Augusto Award of the Jury for the Best National Animation Short Film. 1.000 € + Trophy. (This award will be complemented by the corresponding Certification for its possibility of registration in the pre-selection phase of the Candidates for the 2027 edition of the Goya Awards of the Spanish Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences, within the Animated Short Film category)

• Augusto Award of the Jury for the Best Director / s Aragones. 500 € + Trophy.

• Award for Best International Short Film Audiovisual Center. Trophy.

• Young Jury Award for Best International Micro-Short Film. Trophy.

The unofficial Festival awards will be published on our social networks over the next few months, closing this section in the middle of September.

INTERNATIONAL COMPETITION SHORT FILMS AUDIOVISUAL TRAINING CENTERS

Students enrolled in audiovisual training centers, film schools, associations, image workshops, etc., from anywhere in the world of more than 18 years may present themselves.

The works submitted must have been produced after January 1, 2024 and its objective will be to disseminate the work of future professionals in the audiovisual sector.

INTERNATIONAL SHORT FILMS ANIMATION

All those people of any nationality, who have audiovisual Animation productions, within the scope of novel creation, may enter the contest.

The works must be produced after January 1, 2025. Entries made by people belonging to the Festival organization or those that have been presented in previous editions of the Festival may not be submitted for competition.


NATIONAL SHORT FILM SHOT FILM

Any person with Spanish nationality or resident in the Spanish State who has audiovisual productions of Fiction, within the scope of the novel creation, may submit to competition.

The works must be produced after January 1, 2025. Entries made by people belonging to the Festival organization or those that have been presented in previous editions of the Festival may not be submitted for competition.
