To support young audiovisual talents in the development of short film projects in genres other than drama, in order to strengthen their films from the initial phase—artistically, in production, and in marketing—and to promote the production of a diversity of cinematic genres.

To support young audiovisual talents in the completion of short films, including editing processes and post-production of their works.

To support young audiovisual talents in the distribution and commercialization of their completed short films and to achieve greater dissemination of their works at the national and international levels.

Chile Short - Market
Working JIIFF, the industry platform of the José Ignacio International Film Festival, opens the call for a new edition of Generation J, a workshop designed to promote the training of professional screenwriters and directors of Uruguayan fiction under the age of 32.
Guided by local and international experts, the selected emerging Uruguayan talents will conceptualize and develop their projects. José Ignacio serves as a meeting space to inspire stories.

JIIFF - Generation J
Ibermedia promotes the distribution and circulation of non-national films from Ibero-American cinemas within the national territories of distribution companies. This is achieved through proposals that implement traditional, non-traditional, or hybrid distribution and exhibition models, incorporating innovative and creative forms of in-person distribution and/or exhibition. These proposals must also include a promotion and audience plan, aiming to bring Ibero-American cinema closer to regional audiences.

Las películas apoyadas por nuestro trabajo han sido reconocidas a nivel nacional e internacional con los más altos honores de la industria, incluidos los Premios de la Academia, los Premios Emmy y los Premios Peabody. Y han aumentado la visibilidad e impulsado el cambio social en cuestiones urgentes.
