TVP has opened submissions for the pitching sessions of the Heart of Europe Forum 2025, which will take place in Warsaw, Poland, from September 30 to October 3, 2025. This call is aimed at filmmakers and TV creators from Central and Eastern Europe, including countries like Poland, Ukraine, Hungary, Romania, and others.
The available categories are fiction film, TV series, and documentary. Projects at any stage of development—from initial concept to near-completion—are welcome. Up to ten projects per category will be selected to present before an international jury and audiovisual industry professionals.
Participation is free, and selected projects will have the chance to showcase their work to producers, distributors, festival representatives, and broadcasters, enhancing opportunities for funding, co-production, and distribution. The submission deadline is June 30, 2025.
This is a valuable opportunity to boost the visibility of regional audiovisual production on the international market and to build important industry connections.

Heart of Europe Forum
The Nuevas Realizadoras 2026 Lab, organized by Montevideo Cine LAB (Uruguay), is a project development laboratory for women filmmakers with feature film projects in development. The program focuses on first and second feature films in fiction, documentary, or hybrid formats, providing mentorship, production guidance, and a final pitch session with industry professionals. Projects must be directed exclusively by women and be in the development stage. The call is intended for Uruguayan filmmakers and also accepts foreign applicants who have legally resided in Uruguay for at least five years. The laboratory will take place in a hybrid format, combining online and in-person activities, from October 11 to 17, 2026. Applications will be accepted from July 25 to August 15, 2026 (11:59 p.m.).

Montevideo Cine LAB - New Female Filmmakers
The 5th Short Film Screenwriting Competition 2026, organized by Detour.uy in Uruguay, supports the writing and production of short-form audiovisual works. The call is open to applicants over 18 who are Uruguayan citizens or residents. Foreign applicants may participate only if they can demonstrate more than five years of residence in Uruguay and hold a valid Uruguayan identity card.
The competition accepts short-film scripts in any genre, with a maximum length of 12 pages, excluding the cover page. It falls within the project development and production support area and is best classified as a screenwriting competition or laboratory. It is not intended for completed films or projects at the Work in Progress stage.
Applications will be accepted from May 7 until August 16, 2026, at 11:59 p.m. Finalists will be announced on October 10, 2026, and the winning project will be revealed on October 17, 2026.

Montevideo Cine LAB - Screenplay Contest
La residencia de guion Cine Horizontes en Marsella invita a guionistas, dialoguistas y directores de España y países hispanohablantes residentes en Europa a postular proyectos de largometraje, ya sean de ficción o documental. Los proyectos deben ser originales, inéditos y libres de compromisos con productoras; en caso de adaptación, se debe acreditar la adquisición de derechos.
La convocatoria ofrece una residencia de escritura del 26 de septiembre al 17 de octubre de 2025 en Marsella, con alojamiento, una dieta aproximada de 1,000 euros y reembolso de hasta 400 euros para gastos de viaje. Además, el ganador presentará su proyecto durante el Festival de Cine Español de Marsella y participará en encuentros profesionales.
Los interesados deben enviar su proyecto en PDF por correo electrónico y postal antes del 14 de junio de 2025. La selección valora especialmente la originalidad y calidad narrativa del guion. Solo se permite un proyecto por persona. El ganador firmará un compromiso para residir en Marsella durante el periodo de la residencia.
