Torre Barrina is organizing the 2025 L’Hospitalet Short Film Pitching event, aimed at screenwriters and directors over 18 with original short film projects—fiction or documentary—written in Catalan or Spanish. The submission period runs from May 26 to June 15, 2025, and projects must be sent to torrebarrina@l-h.cat, including the script and/or a project dossier (maximum 20 pages). Between 14 and 20 projects will be selected to be pitched on July 1 and 2, followed by one-on-one meetings with invited production companies. The event will conclude on July 3 with round tables and a closing session. All activities take place at Torre Barrina Cultural Center in L’Hospitalet.

The 2025 call for Cine Chileno del Futuro (Finalization line) is aimed at Chilean feature films (fiction or nonfiction) in the rough cut or post-production stage. Projects must be directed by Chilean filmmakers or permanent residents, and filmed mostly in Chile. The submission deadline is June 10, 2025.

Selected projects will receive specialized mentoring in editing and finalization strategies. Monetary awards ($1,200,000 CLP per category), post-production services from Atómica and Sonamos, and an internationalization prize supported by CAIA will be granted.

Producers Meet Producers (PMP) 2026 is an audiovisual incubation program organized by the Audiovisual Producers of Catalonia (PAC), held within the Industry Hub of the Sitges Film Festival in Spain. It is a meeting space between emerging production companies and established professionals designed to support the development of audiovisual projects across multiple formats and genres.

The 2026 call for applications is open from May 4 to June 19, 2026, through the INCOPRODUCTION platform. Selected projects will be announced at the end of July 2026, and the industry event will take place on October 14, 2026 in Sitges, Catalonia (Spain).

The program is primarily aimed at emerging production companies based in Catalonia, although participation is defined by the official call’s criteria. It accepts fiction and documentary projects in formats such as short films, feature films, series, and transmedia works, with no genre restrictions.

PMP operates as an incubation scheme combining mentorship, consultancy sessions, training, networking, and industry access, aiming to strengthen audiovisual projects in development within the sector.

The WomanInFan – Sitges FanLab 2026 call, part of the Sitges Film Festival (Spain), is an international training and development residency focused on women creators working in fantasy genre cinema. The call opens on March 9, 2026, and the final submission deadline is June 30, 2026 (11:59 PM). Selected projects will be announced on September 1, 2026, and the program activities take place during the Sitges Film Festival from October 8 to October 18, 2026, including a dedicated residency within that period.

This initiative functions as a laboratory and industry training program, aimed at projects in early development stages. It focuses on fantasy genre content, including horror, science fiction, fantasy, and experimental cinema. It primarily accepts feature films and short films, along with other audiovisual projects in development, depending on the festival’s framework.

Region: Latin America & Caribbean 


The FEMCINE WIP 2026 call is a Work in Progress section organized in Chile by FEMCINE, aimed at feature films directed by women from Latin America or produced within the region. It is intended for projects currently in editing or post-production, with a minimum running time of 60 minutes, and accepts fiction, documentary, and animation works. Films that have already been publicly screened at festivals, on television, streaming platforms, or online are not eligible.

International submissions are accepted, provided the project meets the requirement of Latin American production. The submission deadline is March 25, 2026, at 11:59 PM Chile time, and selected projects will participate during the festival, held from May 5 to May 10, 2026, through online screenings and virtual meetings with jurors and industry professionals. This platform is designed to support films in their final stage before international circulation.
