Cinema Campus 2026 is a short film development lab held in Rute, Córdoba, Spain. The call is aimed at filmmakers developing short film screenplays, with a primary focus on fiction projects while also accepting documentaries. The program offers professional training, one-on-one mentoring, script development sessions, and a final pitch to industry professionals to help selected projects advance toward production.

The program is open to both national and international applicants, with no nationality restrictions. Eight projects will be selected to participate in online sessions from April 30 to May 6, 2026, followed by the on-site program from May 22 to 24, 2026. The WMMINTL Script Competition 2026 is an international short film screenplay contest organized within the We Make Movies ecosystem. The submission deadline is June 21, 2026, and it is associated with a festival taking place from November 7 to November 10, 2026. It is open to global applicants with no nationality restrictions and focuses exclusively on fiction projects.

The competition accepts short film scripts with a maximum length of 30 pages. Selected works go through an evaluation process that leads to five finalists, whose screenplays are performed as live table reads during the festival. Winners are then selected from these finalists during the event.

The LUSCA Fantastic Film Fest – Screenplay Contest 2026 is a screenwriting competition organized by LUSCA Film Fest, a fantastic film festival held in Puerto Rico. The call is aimed at screenwriters, filmmakers, and producers interested in genres such as fantasy, science fiction, comedy, and bizarre cinema, including related subgenres. It accepts short film screenplays of up to 10 pages, written in Spanish and/or English, that are original, unpublished, and without previous production agreements.

The call opens on December 23, 2025. Submission deadlines are: Earlybird: February 1, 2026, Regular: June 20, 2026, Late: July 10, 2026, and Extended Late: July 31, 2026. The festival will take place from October 14 to 21, 2026.

This is a screenwriting competition, not a market, pitch, laboratory, or work in progress program. It focuses on short film screenplay projects within the fantastic genre. Munich Film Up! is an international mentorship and residency program for emerging filmmakers developing their first fiction feature film. It is aimed at film students in their final year or recent graduates (up to three years) looking to advance their screenplay development.

The program provides seven months of support, including personalized mentoring, online workshops, and a three-week residency at one of the partner residencies. Participants begin their journey at Munich’s Future Storytellers Festival, where they connect with industry professionals and fellow filmmakers.

The program concludes at the Cannes Film Festival, where projects are presented to the industry and the Kirch Foundation Award is granted, offering €5,000 to the winning project for further development.

Key dates for the 2025/26 edition are from June 23 to August 1, 2025. Munich Film Up! is a unique opportunity for emerging filmmakers seeking professional support and international visibility for their first feature film.
