The Malaga Festival is calling for aid for audiovisual creation for the eleventh consecutive year with the aim of encouraging and energizing audiovisual creation in Malaga. These grants are aimed at projects for the making of action, animation or documentary short films with a maximum duration of 30 minutes and free themes.

Audiovisual Creation Grants - Málaga
Created by the Locarno Festival in 2014, Industry Academy is an intensive training program whose objective is to foster innovation in young professionals in the film industry, working specifically in the area of independent film circulation: online and traditional distribution , sales, film marketing, exhibition, festival programming, among others. The workshop acts as a shortcut for a new generation of professionals entering the independent film industry, encouraging their development and helping them better understand the challenges of the industry, as well as expand their networks. The objective of Locarno Industry Academy is also to build bridges of collaboration across different markets in Europe, North America, Latin America, the Middle East, South Africa and South Asia.

Australab - Industry Academy
BIOBIO CONECTA is the Industry and Market of the Lebu International Film Festival, co-organized with Bio Ingeniería Audiovisual Ltda., in collaboration with Universidad de las Américas, UNIACC, Universidad San Sebastián, Santo Tomás, Universidad del Desarrollo, Universidad del Bío Bío, AIEP, DUOC, CEDUC, and Universidad Católica de la Santísima Concepción. It will take place from April 27 to 30, 2025, in Concepción, with the support of the Ministry of Cultures, Arts, and Heritage.
WIP CINELEBU applies only to short films and aims to enhance and assist in their high-quality completion for national and international projection. Eligible short films must be in an advanced editing phase, with the filming already completed and an editing cut that meets the conditions outlined in these guidelines.
Additionally, directors who do not have a production company based in the country may also apply, provided that the short film has been filmed anywhere in Chile.
Through this call, we also aim to foster the cultural development of the country by supporting creative industries and linking cultural investment with other productive activities. The following action lines are highlighted:
Promote the development of national and international short films.
Boost Creative Industries through short films and link them to tourism promotion, which will enhance employment and regional development.

BIOBIO CONNECTS - WIP
Tres Puertos is a workshop with residency-like characteristics for feature film projects in the development stage. Throughout its history, it has held sessions in Argentina, Chile, Costa Rica, and Mexico. The workshop focuses on both the narrative, aesthetic, thematic, and conceptual aspects of the projects, as well as on production-related areas and financing circuits. Tres Puertos does not work with thematic modules but rather approaches each project based on its specific needs.

Australab - Three Ports
All women filmmakers from Central America and the Caribbean with their first or second film in the early stages of development, whether fiction, animation, or documentary, are eligible to apply. Cuban applicants may reside either inside or outside the island.
This is an inclusive residency, and we want our trans women to also find their space at La Burbuja_Lab. It is not mandatory for the production team to be composed exclusively of women.
