MAFF is a space designed to foster artistic, financial, and innovative growth while increasing the visibility of projects. Our goal is to create a strong network of contacts that enhances financing opportunities and promotes an effective communication environment to facilitate dialogue between production companies, producers, and professionals in the global audiovisual industry.
To achieve this, we offer training activities, mentorship programs, and business networking opportunities, all aimed at reaching business agreements that will drive the future financing of selected projects.

Desde 2003, Open Doors ha promovido la producción cinematográfica en regiones donde el cine independiente es especialmente difícil, construyendo puentes para la colaboración entre regiones, países y continentes. A través de los programas públicos y profesionales de Open Doors, nuestro objetivo es proporcionar un espacio donde los talentos encuentren apoyo en cada paso de su trayectoria creativa y profesional y donde el debate y la reinvención del cine actual puedan tener lugar entre voces libres.
El objetivo final de Puertas Abiertas es contribuir al desarrollo de una comunidad cinematográfica mundial más colaborativa y sin fronteras, haciendo al mismo tiempo que la escena independiente sea más fuerte y sostenible.

Puertas Abiertas de Locarno
JIIFF LAB is a space designed to strengthen fiction feature film projects in the development stage. It is aimed at pairs of novice directors and producers with experience in the film industry from across Ibero-America and Italy. Over the course of four days, participants work to enhance their projects through consulting sessions, mentorships with highly recognized professionals, and networking opportunities aimed at consolidating the realization of their films.

JIIFF LAB
This section is open to original Short scripts by Italian screenwriters still looking for a production. The authors must send the materials requested in article 5 by JUNE 1, 2024.
The selection of the scripts is carried out by and at the discretion of the Festival's Artistic Direction. The authors of the selected screenplays will be invited to pitch their projects during the Festival.
The authors cannot exempt themselves from this presentation under penalty of exclusion from the Festival.
