MIPCOM CANNES 2026 will take place from October 12 to 15, 2026, at the Palais des Festivals in Cannes, France. It is an international content and entertainment market that brings together studios, production companies, distributors, buyers, platforms, and other professionals from more than 100 countries.
The 2026 edition covers television and multi-platform content, including series and multi-genre content, as well as IP and audiovisual and entertainment projects. The market allows participants to exhibit and promote programs and projects, hold business meetings, establish contacts, and participate in screenings, showcases, and industry activities.
Participation is international. Registration for visitors and buyers is available, but official opening and closing application dates for the 2026 edition are not specified. For exhibitors, the platform allows programs and projects to be presented and promoted to buyers; it is recommended that they be uploaded before September 11, 2026.

MIPCOM - Cannes
The Queer Incubator: Santiago–Guadalajara, organized by SANFIC Industria and the Guadalajara International Film Festival (FICG), is aimed at Latin American fiction feature film projects in the screenwriting stage with an artistic deck. Projects must be led in directing and screenwriting by professionals who identify as part of LGBTIQ+ communities or whose gender-diverse identities and expressions inform their creative experiences and perspectives.
The initiative operates as a project lab and incubator, offering group and individual mentoring with international professionals. It is open to productions and project representatives who originate from or reside in Latin American countries.
The final application deadline is September 16, 2026, at 12:00 p.m. Santiago time. In-person activities will take place in Santiago, Chile, from November 2–6, 2027, and in Guadalajara, Mexico, from March 6–13, 2027.

Incubadora Queer - Sanfic
The Storylines Lab is designed for narrative feature film projects at an early stage of development, from early concept to treatment stage. The lab is held virtually through online sessions and has a duration of two weeks.
The lab gives independent filmmakers from around the world the opportunity to work intensively on the creative development of their projects in an environment structured to foster professional collaboration and high-quality project development.
The lab is facilitated by a professional in the field with long-standing experience. In addition to the guidance provided by the facilitator through workshop sessions and one-on-one meetings, the lab offers the participants the opportunity to workshop their projects with other international filmmakers, be part of a community of like-minded artists, and access the Cine Qua Non Lab film professional network.

Taller de Líneas Argumentales (English) - Cine Qua Non Lab
FantasoLab opened the call for the VII Ibero-American Fantastic Film Screenwriting Workshop on August 27, 2026, with a deadline of September 30, 2026, at 8:00 p.m., Colombia time (GMT-5). The selected projects will be announced on December 1, 2026. The workshop will be held virtually from January 14 to 23, 2027.
The call, organized from Colombia, accepts applications from screenwriters from any country, although priority is given to those with nationality or permanent residence in Ibero-America. It is exclusively aimed at fiction feature film projects in the writing stage belonging to the science fiction, fantasy, or horror genres, or incorporating narrative components from these genres.
The program operates as a screenwriting development workshop and laboratory. Up to 15 projects will be selected, and one or two screenwriters may participate per project. The work focuses on the treatment through personalized consultations, theoretical talks, and group sessions.

FantasoLab - Screenwriting Workshop
The Storyline Development Workshop is a virtual lab focused on the creative development of early-stage fiction feature film projects, from the initial idea to narrative treatment. The application period for the 2026 edition is open until November 1, 2025. The workshop runs from February 1 to April 5, 2026, with an additional follow-up session in April/May 2026. The program is organized from Mexico and accepts international applications from filmmakers around the world. It focuses solely on narrative fiction and belongs to the laboratory / creative development category. The accepted format is fiction feature films, with virtual group and individual sessions designed to develop each project’s treatment, character profiles, and synopsis.
