The Industry Academy Brasil is an intensive training program created by the Locarno Film Festival in 2014, designed to foster innovation among young professionals in the film industry, focusing on areas such as distribution, sales, film marketing, exhibition, and festival programming. This program is aimed at young professionals with the goal of providing them with strategic tools to enhance their skills and strengthen their presence in the international film market.
The program takes place within the framework of BrLab, a renowned event in Brazil dedicated to the training, development, and support of the audiovisual industry in Latin America. BrLab is a key space for cinema professionals seeking to improve their projects, gain knowledge about the global industry, and strengthen their network of contacts. During the program, participants have the opportunity to engage in workshops, mentoring sessions, and networking activities, focusing on key aspects such as the internationalization and distribution of film projects, as well as financing and marketing strategy.

Industry Academy Brasil
BrLab Audience Design 2026 is a workshop focused on strategic audience development for fiction and documentary feature films. The call is open to projects from Latin America and the Iberian Peninsula, accepting international submissions.
Applications are open until December 12, 2025, and the main in-person workshop will take place in São Paulo, Brazil, from April 7 to 14, 2026, with preparatory online activities in February and March. The lab focuses on audience strategy for projects in development, rather than pitches or traditional markets.
Only feature films are accepted, including live action, animation, or hybrid projects. The program provides tools and expert guidance to strengthen the connection between the project and its potential audience, fostering effective dissemination and promotion strategies.

BrLab Audience Design
The Cine en Construcción 45 program will take place on March 26 and 27, 2026 in Toulouse, as part of the Professional Platform of the Cinélatino Festival. This initiative supports Latin American films in post-production, helping them finalize, circulate internationally, and present their work to industry professionals.
Applications are open until January 28, 2026. Six projects will be selected by a dedicated committee, focusing on innovative and diverse works. The main goal of Cine en Construcción is to promote selected feature films to international festivals and markets, fostering connections and collaborations between filmmakers and producers.
The call accepts only feature-length films in fiction, animation, experimental, or hybrid formats, targeting Latin American filmmakers. Since 2002, this program has served as a launchpad for emerging films to reach audiences and strengthen their professional journey, highlighting cultural diversity and fresh perspectives in Latin American cinema.

Cinema in Progress – TOULOUSE
The third edition of the AFTER program, organized by ECAM Industria in Spain, is aimed at short film projects in development, providing support for emerging creators in their creative and production processes. Applications are open from December 12, 2025, to January 12, 2026, at 3:00 PM.
The program will take place over approximately one week in the first quarter of 2026, likely between late January and March. It is aimed at ECAM alumni and residents of the Madrid region, so international submissions outside this scope are not accepted.
AFTER accepts projects of any genre, including fiction, documentary, or animation, and focuses on script development, production, legal and financial guidance, as well as personalized mentorship. Participants will have the opportunity to showcase their projects at film forums and markets to enhance visibility and funding opportunities.
The required project format is exclusively short film, and selected participants will receive professional support to strengthen their projects comprehensively.

ECAM After
The Quiet Collective ofrece retiros y residencias creativas abiertas todo el año, centradas en el desarrollo de proyectos de ficción y narrativa. Los programas permiten a los participantes trabajar en sus historias, guiones y creatividad personal en un entorno inmersivo y colaborativo. Las experiencias se realizan principalmente en Calabria, Italia, y aceptan participantes de cualquier nacionalidad.
Entre las sesiones programadas para 2026 destacan: Embodying the Character del 3 al 10 de mayo; From Script to Pitch del 24 al 31 de mayo y del 13 al 20 de septiembre; y The Creative Path del 28 de septiembre al 4 de octubre. Estos retiros no funcionan como concursos ni incluyen jurados o premios; su objetivo es ofrecer un espacio de exploración, aprendizaje y desarrollo creativo en ficción.
Los participantes trabajan individualmente en sus proyectos, aprovechando talleres, mentorías y dinámicas de grupo. La inscripción es flexible, lo que permite integrarse en cualquier periodo disponible, fomentando un flujo constante de creatividad y networking entre escritores, guionistas y artistas interesados en la narrativa y la ficción.
