DocuLab: Documentary Lab is an industry program of the Guadalajara International Film Festival, aimed at promoting the development of Ibero-American filmmakers and their documentary films in the editing stage, through in-depth analysis and discussions with experts in the genre.
For its fourteenth edition, DocuLab returns in person, continuing its role as a fundamental training space for the non-fiction genre in Ibero-America.

DOCULAB: DOCUMENTARY LAB - FICG
The SMOF Lab 2025 call is open from March 4 to April 4, 2025. Organized by Stop Motion Our Fest (SMOF), the lab will take place from June 26 to 29 in Buenos Aires, Argentina. It is aimed at Latin American stop motion short film and series projects in development. The goal is to support emerging animation productions through training, mentoring, and industry networking. Selected projects will participate in pitching sessions, expert consultations, and intensive workshops. Participation is free but requires prior registration.

Laboratory SMOF
Every year, at the beginning of July, the FIDMarseille —Festival Internacional de Cine de Marseille— offers a program of 130 films to approximately 23,500 spectators, in cinemas, theatres, libraries, art galleries and open-air amphitheaters throughout the city. The festival presents a large number of films in world premiere, as well as first films. Today, the FIDMarseille is recognized as a source of new cinemas, both documentary and fiction production.
In addition, FIDMarseille organizes
the FIDLab, a support platform for international co-production
the FIDCampus, a training workshop for Mediterranean students
and numerous external screenings throughout the year.

FIDLab - Marseille
The Storylines Lab is designed for narrative feature film projects at an early stage of development, from early concept to treatment stage. The lab is held virtually through online sessions and has a duration of two weeks.
The lab gives independent filmmakers from around the world the opportunity to work intensively on the creative development of their projects in an environment structured to foster professional collaboration and high-quality project development.
The lab is facilitated by a professional in the field with long-standing experience. In addition to the guidance provided by the facilitator through workshop sessions and one-on-one meetings, the lab offers the participants the opportunity to workshop their projects with other international filmmakers, be part of a community of like-minded artists, and access the Cine Qua Non Lab film professional network.
By the end of the lab, participants will have created a portfolio of:

Taller de Líneas Argumentales (English) - Cine Qua Non Lab
The Storylines Lab is a workshop designed for narrative feature film projects in the early stages of development, from initial conception to the development phase. The lab is conducted virtually through online sessions and lasts two weeks.
The lab offers independent filmmakers from around the world the opportunity to work intensively on the creative development of their projects in a structured environment that fosters professional collaboration and the development of high-quality projects.
The lab is facilitated by a professional with extensive experience in the field. In addition to guidance from the facilitator through workshops and individual meetings, the lab offers participants the opportunity to work on their projects alongside other international filmmakers, be part of a community of like-minded artists, and access the Cine Qua Non Lab film professional network.
By the end of the lab, participants will have created a portfolio including:
