B!tchFest Film Festival & Screenplay Contest
Chicago Script Awards invites submissions of original screenplays in English across four categories: feature (up to 160 pages), TV pilot (up to 130 pages), short (up to 40 pages), and super-short (up to 10 pages). All genres are accepted with no restrictions. Writers from any country can participate, as long as the script is in English and formatted properly (paginated, unencrypted PDF). Produced, optioned, or rights-restricted scripts are not eligible.
Entries open in three phases: Early Bird, Regular, and Late Deadline, with fees ranging from $30 for features, pilots, and shorts, to $40 for super-shorts. Discounts are available for Gold members.
Winners receive prizes including IMDb visibility, Sundance membership, and professional services valued over $5,000. This is an excellent opportunity to showcase your screenplay and connect with an international industry network.

CHICAGO SCRIPT AWARDS
The Bolivia Lab 2025 Script Incubator is an online program designed to strengthen cinematic script projects for participants over 18 with intermediate writing skills and an ongoing project. It offers two tracks: feature films (fiction, animation, and documentary) and short/feature fiction films. Participants must submit a long synopsis or treatment of 4 to 8 pages and will receive guidance from professional screenwriters through group sessions combining theory, analysis, feedback, and practical exercises. The workshops take place in August and September 2025, costing $100 USD (with an $85 USD discount for pre-registrations until July 20). The courses cover pitching, narrative structure, authorial voice, and visual storytelling. Participants will receive a certificate and access to masterclasses. BoliviaLab – Script Incubator
The From the Root Screenwriting Residency, organized by Fundación Algo en Común, is aimed at screenwriters and filmmakers from Black, Afro-descendant, Raizal, Palenquero, Rrom, and Indigenous communities from Colombia, the Americas, and their diasporas. The program seeks to strengthen their voices and stories in the audiovisual field. Twenty fiction feature film projects will be selected. The residency will take place from September 1 to November 28, 2025, including virtual activities and a two-week immersion in Cali, Colombia. Participants will receive training in screenwriting, personalized mentoring, and support in project development. At the end, a networking session with the industry will be held to present the projects to producers and specialized audiences. Applications are open until July 27, 2025.

El BAMMERS es un programa dirigido a jóvenes talentos de la industria audiovisual que buscan potenciar sus habilidades en producción y dirección, organizado por el Bogotá Audiovisual Market (BAM). Este programa está dirigido a productores y directores jóvenes que tengan entre 22 y 30 años y que ya cuenten con experiencia en el campo de la producción o dirección, habiendo trabajado en al menos un proyecto audiovisual comercializado (película, serie, cortometraje, etc.).
