The Showrunners Workshop at Iberseries & Platino Industria is a training and mentoring program designed to support the development of Spanish-language series projects while strengthening participants’ creative, leadership, and production skills. The initiative is aimed at Ibero-American audiovisual professionals with experience or training in creation, screenwriting, directing, or producing who have a series project in development.
The call is open to international applicants from the Ibero-American region and will select up to 12 projects. Selected participants will receive online mentoring sessions before attending the in-person workshop, which includes project development activities, training sessions, and meetings with industry professionals.
The application deadline is June 11, 2026, at 4:00 PM (GMT+2). The workshop will take place in Madrid, Spain, on September 29–30 and October 1, 2026.

The Galician Freaky Film Festival (GFFF), based in Spain, hosts an international call aimed at the development of short films within the fantastic genre. The initiative supports original projects in horror, science fiction, and other “freak”-related subgenres, specifically targeting works that are still in development and not yet produced.

GFFF - Freak Pitch
FICC Industria is the professional section of the Centelles en Curt festival in Spain, focused on the exhibition and circulation of short films within an audiovisual industry and networking environment. The call is open to international submissions and accepts fiction, documentary, and animation projects. The accepted format is exclusively short films.
The submission period opened on March 4, 2026, and the final deadline is June 22, 2026. The event will take place from July 10 to July 12, 2026, in Centelles, Barcelona. Centelles in Short FICC Industry
The 2025 call for Cine Chileno del Futuro (Development line) targets Chilean feature films (fiction or nonfiction) in the scriptwriting or early development stage. Projects must be directed by Chilean filmmakers or permanent residents, and filmed mostly in Chile. The submission deadline is June 10, 2025.
Selected projects will receive specialized mentoring in scriptwriting and narrative development, provided by national and international professionals. The mentoring process will begin in August and continue through December 2025.

AUSTRALES ENCOUNTERS - Fic Valdivia - Development
The Euro Atlantic Series Co-Pro Pitch, organized by Iberseries & Platino Industria in Madrid, Spain, is an initiative designed to promote international co-production of European fiction series, docuseries, and animation projects at an advanced stage of development. The submission deadline is June 11, 2026, at 16:00 (GMT+2), while the event will take place from September 29 to October 2, 2026, at Matadero Madrid.
The call is open to production companies based in Europe, allowing international participation within the European framework, with priority given to Atlantic axis countries and territories with strong co-production potential. It is not globally open but is European-focused with international collaboration intent.
Eligible projects include fiction series, docuseries, and animated series in advanced development, requiring at least a first season concept and secured pilot financing. The initiative targets projects with strong international co-production and financing potential.
Only series formats are accepted, including fiction, documentary series, and animation, aimed at the international market. The program focuses on pitching, co-production, and audiovisual market development activities for high-level industry networking and financing opportunities.
