The Iberseries & Platino Industria Showrunners Workshop is a specialized training aimed at professionals with experience or education in creation, writing, directing, or audiovisual production. Its goal is to develop skills for managing and producing Spanish-language series, with practical training and personalized mentoring. Up to 9 finalist projects are selected, presented by one or two participants who hold or are authorized to present the rights of their projects.
The fifth edition will take place from September 30 to October 3, 2025, at Matadero Madrid. The application deadline is June 5, 2025. During the workshop, participants receive intensive training, expert talks, and one-on-one meetings with audiovisual industry executives.

El Marché du Film es el mercado cinematográfico más importante del mundo, realizado en Cannes, Francia, del 12 al 20 de mayo de 2026 junto al Festival de Cannes. La acreditación abre el 2 de febrero de 2026, con fases de registro temprano, normal y tardío hasta el cierre en abril, luego se puede registrar en sitio si hay disponibilidad.
No se trata de una convocatoria competitiva tradicional, sino de un mercado profesional internacional que acepta participantes de todo el mundo, siempre que sean profesionales activos de la industria cinematográfica.
El evento no limita a un género específico; acoge profesionales de múltiples áreas del cine. A través de su acreditación se puede acceder a diferentes espacios y programas como Cannes Docs, Frontières, Goes to Cannes o Cannes Next, orientados a networking, pitching y exposiciones de proyectos.
El formato admitido es amplio: incluye largometrajes, documentales, series y otros proyectos audiovisuales, pero la participación es mediante acreditación profesional más que la postulación directa de obras.

MARCHÉ DU FILM - CANNES
The Galician Freaky Film Festival (GFFF), based in Spain, hosts an international call aimed at the development of short films within the fantastic genre. The initiative supports original projects in horror, science fiction, and other “freak”-related subgenres, specifically targeting works that are still in development and not yet produced.
The call is open to participants of any nationality, including individuals, production companies, film schools, and similar entities. Selected projects will take part in a pitching session, where they must present and defend their proposals before a professional jury during the festival.
The submission deadline is May 11, 2026, and the festival — including the pitching event — will take place from September 18 to 26, 2026.

GFFF - Freak Pitch
The Script Review Workshop offers independent filmmakers from around the world the opportunity to work intensively on their feature-length fiction screenplays in an environment designed to foster professional collaboration and the development of high-quality scripts. The Script Review Workshop consists of a two-week workshop-residency and a two-day online follow-up module.
The workshop facilitators are professionals with extensive experience. In addition to guidance for script development provided in both group and individual working sessions, participants have dedicated time for writing. The workshop gives each participant the opportunity to discuss their project with a group of international filmmakers, be part of a community of artists with similar sensibilities, and gain access to Cine Qua Non Lab’s network of filmmakers.

Taller de Revisión de Guion (English) - Cine Qua Non Lab
The Sitges FanPitch Catalunya Imaginària call aims to promote feature films and series in the genres of fantasy, science fiction, and horror in the Catalan language. Participants must submit a script in Catalan, a dossier in English, a 3-minute video pitch in English or subtitled, and a poster proposal. The winning project will receive €2,500 for development and a residency at the Feratum Festival (Mexico). All selected projects get accreditation for industry activities and access to screenings. Registration is open until June 30, 2025, costing €50 (until May 31) or €60 (extended deadline). The selected project will be announced on September 9, 2025, and the festival runs from October 9 to 19, 2025. This call encourages audiovisual creation in Catalan and connects creators with international fantasy film professionals.
