La residencia de composición musical CASA CINE 2026 está dirigida a compositores de música para cine interesados en desarrollar proyectos de largometraje. La convocatoria es internacional, abierta a participantes de cualquier nacionalidad, y se centra en la creación de bandas sonoras originales para películas de ficción, documental o animación.
Las postulaciones para compositores estarán abiertas del 15 de enero al 15 de febrero de 2026. La residencia se llevará a cabo del 6 al 29 de mayo de 2026 en el Château de la Napoule, Francia, coincidiendo con el Festival de Cannes. Durante este período, los seleccionados trabajarán intensamente en la composición musical de sus proyectos, recibiendo asesoramiento especializado y la oportunidad de colaborar con guionistas y cineastas.
El programa está diseñado para fortalecer las habilidades de composición cinematográfica dentro de un entorno creativo e internacional, ofreciendo un espacio para el desarrollo artístico y la presentación de los proyectos frente a profesionales de la industria. FICMONTERREY - WIP
VS Fantastic! 2026, a section of Ventana Sur, will take place in Montevideo, Uruguay, from November 30 to December 4, 2026. The call includes VS Fantastic LAB and VS Fantastic Screening. Applications for LAB will be open from August 3 to September 3, 2026, while applications for Screening will be open from August 3 to September 14, 2026.
VS Fantastic LAB is aimed at feature film projects in development in the fantastic, horror, science fiction, fantasy genres and combinations with suspense, action, crime, and black comedy, among others, with majority or minority production from an Ibero-American country, including Italy. It includes a laboratory, pitch, mentoring, and one-to-one meetings. VS Fantastic Screening is aimed at Latin American fiction feature films in the fantastic, horror, thriller, or science fiction genres, in post-production or approaching their premiere.

FANTASTIC! LAB – VENTANA SUR
VS-CORTOS Finalización 2026 is Ventana Sur’s industry platform dedicated to Latin American short films. The call accepts Latin American short films in an advanced stage of post-production (picture lock) or completed, with a world premiere available. The opening date for 2026 submissions is not specified; the deadline is September 6, 2026. Ventana Sur 2026 will take place in Montevideo, Uruguay, from November 30 to December 4, 2026.
The program is aimed at strengthening the distribution strategy and international positioning of the selected works through specialized mentoring, screenings for accredited professionals, individual meetings with programmers, distributors and sales agents, panels, networking, and awards. Cortos – VENTANA SUR
In collaboration with the film project incubator RUTA CRÍTICA, the Puerto Rico Film Festival invites the community of PUERTO RICO filmmakers to PRFF PITCH'24, as part of its INDUSTRIA PRFF'24 efforts. In this edition we seek to give exposure to fiction feature films and documentary feature films in development, in front of international and national professionals from the Industry, for feedback and the possibility of collaboration, development or co-production.
