Festival Hacelo Corto. Cortometrajes realizados por y para niños y jóvenes (19)

Created in 2002, the Hacelo Corto Festival has founded a privileged space to enjoy the productions of children and young people in fiction, documentary and animation formats.
Through this Festival, the precious relationship between education and culture is underlined. The possibility of learning to film and film by learning, the opportunity to be both public and producers, to see their short films in the cinema and share these valuable educational experiences with society.

The goal is to open the registration to producers and filmmakers of short films aimed at children and young people who wish to participate in the event and have the possibility of being evaluated and awarded by a children and youth jury.

A jury of children and young people will recognize the best productions from the perspective of children and young people. This jury will award a first prize and a special mention.

Official competition

a) Short films from any region of the world participate

b) Productions must be made by people over 18 years of age.

c) The festival does not receive registration fees.
Non-Argentine short films pay the fee fixed by the Festhome platform.

d) All the short films will participate in a unique category called "Shorts in a big way" (short films made by adults for children and youth), and may be of the following genres:
1- Documentary 2- Fiction 3- Experimental 4- Animation 5- Fantastic 6- Terror 7- Video clip

e) The maximum duration must not exceed five minutes (5 ') including titles and credits.

f) Short films made from 2016 until the closing date of this call (Friday, August 9, 2019) are accepted. Short films received after the closing date are not considered.

The quality of the file must be checked at source, guaranteeing readability in both image and audio.

In case of not fulfilling this requirement or manifesting technical failures that difficult its visualization, it is automatically disqualified from the contest.

g) Short films intended for children under 13 years of age must be translated in Spanish. In all other cases they must be subtitled in Spanish. The subtitle must be embedded in the image. Short films subtitled in other languages are not accepted.

h) Short films of an institutional, advertising or television nature are not allowed.

i) Short films registered in previous editions of this Festival are not allowed.

j) Short films that have been directed and / or produced by personnel of any dependency or organism of the Government of the City of Buenos Aires may not participate.

k) The filmmakers must register their short films through the Festhome platform

You must upload the file with .mov or .mp4 extension, resolution 1920 x 1080 px, full HD, H264 encoding with a quality of up to 2 GB, without watermark.
l) Enrollees must attach three (3) images (.jpg format, minimum quality 300 dpi), quality poster image 300 dpi, trailer, synopsis in Spanish (up to 250 characters including spaces) and data sheet for communication pieces of the Festival.

m) The filmmakers authorize the free use of up to ten percent (10%) of each short film, with a view to the festival's promotional exhibition.

n) All the short films are evaluated by a children's jury and a youth jury that will recognize the best productions from the perspective of children and young people.

ñ) The festival will request a projection copy of the selected short films according to technical specifications that will be required in a timely manner. Said copy will be received until Friday, August 9, 2019. The date is indeclinable.

o) Short films that do not respect or comply with the conditions and requirements set forth in these rules will not be registered. Likewise, the Festival will resolve, according to its judgment and in an unappealable capacity, any eventuality not specified in this Regulation.
