Film festivals are a vital link in the chain of global film culture.
Coming together to explore new cultures and celebrate creativity will always be important and film is the perfect medium for that. Visual literacy is a 21st Century aptitude and film festivals bring together the highest equality stories to learn from. Film festivals exist to inspire audiences and keep the excitement alive for cinematic experiences.
So we call on all filmmakers in Africa

Only films that meet the following conditions may be chosen for invitation in the Official Selection:
Films that have been produced during the twelve months preceding the Festival;
The Board of Directors chooses and invites the films which will be presented in Competition
Once a film has been selected it cannot be withdrawn from the Festival programme during the event.
During the entire duration of the Festival waf, none of the films invited may be shown outside the Festival's official theatres before its official screening
All films must be presented in their original language, By "original language" is meant the language in which a film is or will be exhibited in its country of origin.

Submissions for Feature Films by Non-African Film Makers. The Director or Producer MUST NOT be of Nigerian Origin. The actors could be Nigerian though. We prefer Films that have been Theatrically released or Films that have done Festival rounds. New Films can also have their World Premiere as well.
