"Approaching the cinema" is a national film series that seeks to bring new audiences for cinematographic art in 6 cities in the northern area; Alto Hospicio, Antofagasta, Coquimbo, La Serena, Ovalle and Vicuña.

This initiative develops activities of commented exhibitions of cinema, which include discussions with analysis and appreciation together with the directors of the films, which are carried out in different spaces of cultural institutions.

This instance that seeks to motivate and strengthen new audiences, in order to incorporate the habit of appreciating, knowing and understanding Chilean cinema.

In this way, "Bringing the Cinema closer to regional audiences", facilitates access to a billboard to audiences in isolated sectors of the regions of Coquimbo, Tarapacá and Antofagasta, delivering quality cinema, different from the billboard on commercial theaters.
