Please read these terms and conditions carefully before submitting your film. By submitting your film to the Chicago International Film Festival Awards, you expressly acknowledge and agree that you shall be bound by these terms and conditions. Submitting your film to the Chicago International Film Festival Awards does not guarantee selection. All winning films will receive an award or certificate. We treat every filmmaker equally. Please do not submit industrial or educational works.
1. Movies made in languages other than English must have English subtitles, otherwise they will be rejected immediately.
2. The Chicago International Film Festival Awards reserve the right to refuse entries.
3. If the filmmaker fails to submit a film in the correct category, no fee will be refunded for the Chicago International Film Festival Awards. Films that do not have the correct fees or properly submitted media may be considered ineligible at the discretion of the Chicago International Film Awards Program Director or Executive Director. The Festival does not bear any costs incurred by the filmmakers.
4. After the film is officially selected, the filmmaker will be notified and the film will eventually be listed under the official selection on the festival website. Official judging status does not mean that your film will be screened at the festival. This means that your film is appreciated by our jury jury and you can use the festival logo on your posters.
