Festival Start: 06 August 2026
Festival Ende: 15 August 2026
The Pontifical Catholic University of Peru, through its Cultural Center (CCPUCP), annually organizes the Lima PUCP Film Festival. This festival promotes the best and latest in Latin American cinema, fostering a connection between filmmakers and audiences. It is a vital meeting point not only for film professionals but also for Peruvian and Latin American audiences. Throughout its 29 years, it has significantly contributed to improving the distribution of independent films and giving them greater visibility throughout the year, thus also increasing the reach of Peruvian audiovisual projects.
Our mission is to be the leading platform for the exhibition, networking, and promotion of independent cinema, with national and international reach, contributing to improved film consumption, distribution, and production. Similarly, the Lima PUCP Film Festival fulfills its mission of cultivating audiences through diverse academic activities, such as workshops, masterclasses, book presentations, and discussions with filmmakers; and through paid and free screenings throughout the country.
Internationally, our vision is to consolidate the Lima PUCP Film Festival as the leading Latin American film festival in the region. And nationally, our vision is to establish ourselves as the home of Peruvian cinema, expanding our activities to a wider area of Peru.

COMMITMENT OF SELECTED FILMS
Representatives of selected films are required to read and comply with this call for entries, the Festival regulations, and the participation agreement.
Unless a formal request indicates otherwise, the individuals who sign the submission form and the participation agreement will be considered the official representatives of the film before the Festival and the sole interlocutors authorized to negotiate all matters related to participation. They will also be solely responsible toward any other company or person involved in the film’s production.
Individuals associated with the production and direction of selected films agree to keep their selection confidential until the press conference announced by the 30th Lima PUCP International Film Festival, which will take place during the third week of July 2026. The Festival will communicate the exact date and time.
Participation in the Festival authorizes the use of images, trailers, stills, posters, and other materials from the selected films for all Festival publications, print materials, social media, official channels, promotional videos, and advertising spots. This authorization is granted without territorial or time limitations. Participants declare and guarantee that they possess all necessary rights to grant this authorization and agree to release the Festival from any liability arising from third-party claims related to intellectual property or copyright. The Festival’s Communications Department will contact production and/or distribution companies to coordinate promotional materials.
If the promotional materials provided are incomplete, the Festival reserves the right to create missing content at its discretion.
The Festival reserves the right to withdraw any film that fails to meet delivery deadlines (DCP, subtitles, promotional materials, etc.), whose materials are technically unsuitable, or whose representatives fail to comply with agreed commitments. The Festival may also disqualify a film or participant in cases of conflicts of interest, breaches of event protocols, violations of ethical codes, or legal infractions that may harm the Festival or its sponsors.
Decisions made by the Selection Committee and Festival management are final and cannot be appealed.
PARTICIPATION OF SELECTED FILMS
Production and distribution companies of selected films agree to include the phrase COMPETITION – 30th LIMA PUCP INTERNATIONAL FILM FESTIVAL in all promotional materials, including for awarded films.
Films in competition will have a press and promotional campaign designed by the Festival. If the film has its own press team, coordination with the Festival’s press team will be required. The Festival does not participate in independent events organized by competing films in order to safeguard neutrality.
The Festival will schedule selected films in the sections, venues, and time slots it deems appropriate and may modify the programming if necessary. Once selection is confirmed, the film may not be withdrawn or screened elsewhere in Peru before its Festival premiere unless the Festival Director issues written authorization.
The Selection Committee and Festival management reserve the right to create additional festival sections or modify these regulations.
Any matter not covered in these regulations, or any question arising from their interpretation, will be decided by the Festival management.
