FrameWood International Film Festival is an annual celebration of cinematic storytelling that spotlights courageous new voices and innovative craft from around the world. We program an eclectic slate — international and national features, short films, documentaries, and animated works — with a focus on films that engage with identity, environment, and community.

Our mission is to create an inclusive, artist-forward environment that connects filmmakers with audiences, press and industry professionals. FrameWood offers public screenings, filmmaker Q&As, industry roundtables, masterclasses, and awards in multiple categories. We prioritize accessibility, sustainability, and fair compensation for guests.

• Films completed before December 31, 2023 are eligible.

• Premiere status: We prefer [National / International / World] Premiere for Feature Competition — specify what you want; otherwise accept films with prior screenings (note on Festhome: mark your chosen policy).

• Short film runtime limits: ≤ 30 minutes (including credits). Feature films: ≥ 60 minutes. Mid-length allowable on request.

• Student category: Proof of student status required (letter from school or student ID).

• Language & subtitles: Films not in English must include English subtitles for festival materials and screenings. Submitters must provide softsubs or an accurate subtitle file if selected.

• Screening copy: MP4 accepted for programming and promotion. Final exhibition files.

• Rights: Submitter must have the authority to grant public exhibition rights. No fees will be paid to rights holders unless otherwise agreed.

• Withdrawals: Films may be withdrawn before notification date without penalty; after selection, withdrawal may forfeit future consideration.
