The Trujillo Film Festival is a non-profit event, the only one of its kind in the country, entirely dedicated to disseminating Peruvian cinematography.
The initiative has won three times the prize of the National Contest for Cultural Management for Cinema and Audiovisual, granted by the Ministry of Culture, thanks to its promoting role and decentralizing work of our cinema.
The jury will award the following prizes:
-Best Fiction Film (Feature Film and Short Film)
-Best Documentary Film (Feature Film and Short Film)

BASES - FECIT 2023
The Trujillo Film Festival - FECIT announces the call to participate in its 10th edition. The registration period is from August 1 to September 10, 2023, exclusively through https://festhome.com/festival/fecit or by filling out the information on the online form.
This tenth edition, the exhibition of the feature films and short films in competition will be viewed in person at the FECIT headquarters from October 16 to 21, 2023.
1. The Fiction and Documentary categories will compete, both include feature films and short films.
2. Only Peruvian free-theme productions completed between 2021 and 2023, which have not participated in editions prior to this call, will participate.
3. The dialogues, narrations and other texts of the films must be in Spanish; otherwise, copies will be sent subtitled in that language. Subtitling costs will be borne by the producer.
4. Films that have been commercially released in Peru may compete.
5. The duration, in the case of feature films, must be between 60 and 120 minutes, and in short films it must not last more than 25 minutes.
6. The selected feature films and short films will be communicated to their producers and/or directors by email and will be exhibited free of charge at the FECIT headquarters according to the schedule established by the organization.
7. FINAL PROVISIONS
to. The Festival reserves the right to select the works that participate in the different sections and to establish the order and date of exhibition of each film. Once the acceptance of a work and the section of the Festival in which it will participate have been communicated by the Selection Committee to the author, the work cannot be withdrawn before its projection in the contest.
b. After the films have been communicated in the official selection of the festival, the representatives or holders of the rights of the work will sign a document of AUTHORIZATION OF LICENSE FOR THE NON-EXCLUSIVE USE OF AUDIOVISUAL WORK FOR THE EXHIBITION IN THE ACTIVITIES OF THE FECIT 2023 that will be sent by mail.
c. Registration implies full acceptance of these rules.
d. The Organizing Committee reserves the right to withdraw from competition during any phase of the process works that, with intention, omission or error, have provided incorrect information in the registration of their work or do not meet the necessary technical requirements for its projection and dissemination.
and. The selected copies will be part of the Festival archive. In the case of short films, they may be exhibited without profit as part of their promotion, prior notification to their directors or producers of the film.
8. RIGHTS OF PARTICIPATING WORKS
The participants state that they are the only and real owners of the audiovisual works that are presented at the festival, both in case of being the author and the owner of the same. In case of falsity in the affidavit, because they are not the owners of the same, the responsibility for any claim by third parties will be exclusively of the participant who presents the work, without the festival having anything to answer to third parties.
The participants state that they have all the rights involved in the work.
The participants declare that they release the festival from responsibility for any claim regarding the ownership of the work and/or lack of authorization regarding the rights contained therein.
9. SENDING COPIES FOR EXHIBITION
TECHNICAL SPECIFICATIONS FOR DELIVERY OF DIGITAL FILES OF THE WORK AND SUBTITLES
The cinematographic work must be delivered through an internet file sharing service, by the Festhome platform or by email inscripciones.fct@gmail.com
to. The work must not contain bars, clapperboards or other types of notices other than film credits. There should be no interlaced or pixelated effects in the image.
b. Video file type of the work: the digital file of the film must be in the highest quality, using high compression standards and according to the following specifications:
Allowed file formats: MP4, MOV. Allowed video codecs: H.264, ProRes. Allowed audio codecs: AAC, PCM.
Video File Size: Up to 20 GB (Feature Films) and Up to 10 GB (Short Films). Larger files will not be accepted.
Resolution: It must be the following: Full HD, the resolution at 1920 x1080 px. Another resolution will be accepted, only when the original material
