- The contest is for feature films - be they fictional or documentary made ​​in Latin America (South America, Central America and the Caribbean, Mexico, Spain and Portugal) to the pan and competitive sections, and all other countries to section noncompetitive.

- The Films must have been completed after January 1st, 2013.

- The length of the films must be longer than 60 minutes.

- In case of a film spoken in a language other than Spanish, film entry must have subtitles in Spanish.
