Nambrocorto is the short film festival of Nambroca, a town located in the province of Toledo, Spain and its general objective is to promote artistic creation, the seventh art and audiovisual culture among the inhabitants of our town and visitors. Its main objective since 2016 is reward the creativity and art of all those who participate in the call for the short film contest.

This is an event with great opportunities for growth and cultural projection of the local and regional area. Facing its ninth consecutive Edition, it presents a response from the attending public, with a strong growth in its 8 previous editions, what has started as a local exhibition of short films, has grown exponentially demonstrating the acceptance and interest of the inhabitants in the seventh art and this type of cultural initiatives feeling involved in the regional cultural scene.

THE AWARDS
The presence of a representative of the short finalists for the Festival Gala is essential. In case of absence, no prize can be awarded and it will go to the next short film in order of points.

Four main prizes are established:

First prize: €500 + Statuette + Diploma

Second prize: €450 + Statuette + Diploma

Third prize: €400 + Statuette + Diploma

Audience Award: €300 + Statuette + Diploma

In addition to the main prizes with financial incentives, prizes are established for 6 special Categories that will be chosen by the Official Jury among the 40 selected, regardless of whether they are not finalists of the contest:

Rules of the IX Nambrocorto 2024 festival, Nambroca Short Film Festival

THE FESTIVAL

The IX Nambrocorto Festival 2024 will be held in the month of November 2024 at the facilities of the Fuentevieja Cultural Center in Nambroca, Toledo. You can see the schedule on the festival website, www.nambrocorto.com, where the dates of activities and awards ceremonies will be announced in due course.

THE INSCRIPTION

The call to submit short films will be open on June 5, 2024 and will close at midnight on August 10, 2024.

The reception of the short films will be digital and online. Through the Festhome platform.

Registration will be in a general short film category, and will have a registration cost of €5 per registered work.

You must ensure that when registering the work, you send the following information: Valid viewing/download link, Name of the director, Producer, address, e-mail and contact telephone number. In no case will the organization disclose or make public the links to the short films received, only the organizers and members of the jury will have access, always maintaining their privacy.

The directors/producers of the short films that are selected will be notified by email and will receive instructions on how to send copies for viewing and screening of the short films.

Works already registered may not be withdrawn for any reason.

THE SHORT FILMS

All people over 18 years of age, residing in Spain, may register short films, regardless of their nationality. Each director can submit as many works as he/she wishes.

The genre of the festival is free and the maximum duration of the short films will be 20 minutes, including the credits.

The works must have been produced after January 1, 2023 and not have participated in previous editions of Nambrocorto.

Those short films that have dialogues or texts in a language other than Spanish must be subtitled in SPANISH.

THE COMPETITION

Once the call is closed, a selection of 40 works will be made by the selection jury appointed by the Organization Committee. The list of these 40 SELECTED works will be published on the website: www.nambrocorto.com on September 30, 2024. They will also be notified by email where they will be sent the laurel that accredits them as selected for the Nambrocorto 2024 festival.

Subsequently, the official Jury, which will be announced during the month of September, will choose 10 FINALISTS who will be screened on the day of the awards and who will be eligible for the awards. This list will be published on the festival website on November 15, 2024, and you will be notified by email, where you will be sent the festival finalist laurel.

The jury's decisions will be final. The contestants, by the mere fact of participating in this festival, expressly renounce the exercise of all types of claims against its resolutions.

VERY IMPORTANT

The submission and registration of short films implies acceptance of these rules, as well as the assumption of responsibility of the director and/or producer regarding the image and sound rights of their audiovisual work.

With registration, it is also expressly accepted that the Nambrocorto 2024 Short Film Festival may screen your short film, free of payment of exhibition rights, during the dates of the festival and in the rooms or screens within the municipality that the organization considers necessary for the benefit of development. of the festival activities.

The festival reserves the right to cancel any short film due to violation of human rights, incitement to hatred, lack of respect, failure to comply with the rules or other reasons that the organization considers.
