The Latin American Environmental Film Festival - FLACA is the first Brazilian environmental film festival that aims to exclusively curate Latin American films, valuing audiovisual production and promoting dialogue between different socio-cultural and environmental realities. In a global context of climate urgency and intensifying socio-environmental inequalities, FLACA emerges as a space for reflection, exchange, and awareness-raising through cinema. Conceived by an experienced team, FLACA seeks to strengthen environmental education and inspire new ways of seeing the world.

The Latin American Environmental Film Festival does not award prizes.

Registration for the 2nd Latin American Environmental Film Festival implies:


- Authorization, if the film is selected, for the exclusive purpose of promoting the event, of a trailer, excerpts of up to one minute, and still images of the work.


- Authorization, if the film is selected, for the free screening of the film during the Festival period, in itinerant screenings and educational activities of the event, for a period of one year after the Festival (September 2026 to September 2027).


- The authorization to screen the work is valid only for in-person screenings.



SELECTION

All films that complete the registration and meet the prerequisites described here will be analyzed by the festival's selection committee. The selection criteria will be based on the artistic and technical qualities and the thematic relevance of the work. The selection committee's choice is final and cannot be appealed.


The official selection of films that will be part of the FLACA program will be announced on the Festival's official website and social media channels, and all those responsible for submissions will be notified via email.
