The objective of the award is to inspire a revolution that will raise the bar and bring the quality of TV productions in Africa at par with international standards. To achieve this:

The Tube Awards will recognise, honor and reward the best in Television production in Nigeria and Africa in the course of every preceding year.

It shall also organise events targeted at building the capacity of practitioners for optimal performance. The Tube Awards works to elevate the quality of television production in Nigeria.

It is our goal to keep pushing the bar of the highest standards of quality in the creative, professional, and technical aspects of television production.

This is because, we recognise the role of television in cultural representation as well as its ability to influence the general perception of social realities and champion the highest levels of excellence to build a better world, one television at a time.
