The Zentenero Short Film Showcase (MCZ) is an international short film festival celebrating its first edition from July 31 to August 2 in Zentenero, Spain.
MCZ was created with the aim of bringing cinema to rural environments and creating a meeting point between filmmakers and audiences, supporting both emerging and established talent regardless of geographic origin.
Despite being an intimate showcase, its vision is ambitious: to present a carefully curated international official selection and recognize cinematic excellence across multiple artistic and technical disciplines.
Selected films will be screened during the festival dates in front of both the audience and an official jury, which will present several awards as well as the audience award, the "Premio d'o Gurrión".

OFFICIAL AWARDS – ZENTENERO SHORT FILM SHOWCASE (MCZ)

Best Screenplay
Best Cinematography
Best Editing
Best Production
Best Sound
Best Art Direction
Best Costume Design
Best Actor
Best Actress
In addition, the audience will present:
Premio d'o Gurrión (Audience Award)
All awards are honorary.
RULES AND REGULATIONS – ZENTENERO SHORT FILM SHOWCASE (MCZ)
PURPOSE
The Zentenero Short Film Showcase (MCZ) is an international short film festival aimed at promoting and supporting audiovisual creation.
DATES
Opening date: March 15
deadline: May 31
Festival dates: July 31 to August 2
FILM REQUIREMENTS
Short films from any country are accepted.
Maximum duration: 15 minutes, including credits.
All genres and themes are accepted.
Films in languages other than Spanish must include Spanish subtitles.
SUBMISSION
Submissions must be made through the Festhome platform.
OFFICIAL SELECTION
A selection committee appointed by the organization will review all submissions and choose the films that will be part of the Official Selection.
Only selected films will be screened during the festival.
The committee’s decision is final.
JURY
The official jury will be composed of professionals and/or individuals related to the cultural and audiovisual fields.
The jury will decide the festival awards.
The jury’s decision is final.
SCREENINGS
Selected films will be screened during the festival from July 31 to August 2.
ACCEPTANCE
Submitting a film implies full acceptance of these rules.
The organization reserves the right to resolve any situation not covered by these regulations.
