CINELEBU 2026 AUDIOVISUAL AND TOURISM FAIR

BIOBÍO CONECTA – INDUSTRY AND MARKET AREA

1. INTRODUCTION
As part of the 26th edition of the Lebu International Film Festival (CINELEBU) and its industry platform BIOBÍO CONECTA, entrepreneurs, institutions, and companies are invited to participate in the Audiovisual and Tourism Fair.

This space aims to create a collaborative ecosystem between the film sector, tourism services, and regional identity, promoting the Province of Arauco and Concepción as hubs for cultural development and film-friendly destinations.

2. OBJECTIVES
To showcase tourism, gastronomic, and artisanal services for the festival’s national and international guests.
To promote locations in the Biobío Region as settings for audiovisual productions.

To encourage networking between the creative industry and local service providers.

3. DATES AND LOCATIONS
The fair will take place in two key stages:

Lebu Stage: May 22. (Location to be confirmed).

Concepción Stage: May 27, 28, and 29, 2026. (Location to be confirmed).

4. PARTICIPATION CATEGORIES
Entities may apply under the following profiles:

Audiovisual Services: Equipment rental companies, local production companies, catering services for film shoots, and technical transportation services.

Tourism and Hospitality: Tour operators, hotels, cabins, and local guides.

Identity and Gastronomy: Artisanal producers, local design brands, and gourmet regional products.

Institutional: Municipal tourism offices, development programs, and universities.

5. APPLICATION REQUIREMENTS
Residence: Priority will be given to entrepreneurs and companies based in the Biobío Region, especially in the provinces of Arauco and Concepción.

Formalization: Exhibitors must have a registered business activity or be supported by a public or private institution.

Registration: Applicants must complete the digital form at www.cinelebu.cl
, attaching a service portfolio and high-quality photographs.

6. EXHIBITOR COMMITMENTS
Setup and Dismantling: Exhibitors are responsible for installing their materials within the timeframes established by the organization.
Attendance: Stands must be staffed throughout the fair’s entire opening hours.

Sustainability: The use of single-use plastics is prohibited. The use of recyclable or biodegradable materials is encouraged.

7. BENEFITS PROVIDED BY THE ORGANIZATION
CINELEBU will provide selected participants with:

Physical space (stand or counter, depending on technical availability).

Basic lighting and access to an electrical connection point.

Inclusion in the Biobío Conecta Digital Catalogue.

Promotion on the Festival’s official social media channels.

Access to industry talks and activities (subject to capacity).

8. SELECTION AND AVAILABILITY
Due to the nature of the event, spaces are limited. Selection will be made by a committee based on quality, relevance to the audiovisual industry, and regional pertinence.

9. LEGAL AND SAFETY ASPECTS
The organization is not responsible for theft, loss, or damage to exhibited materials. Each exhibitor is responsible for the safety of their own belongings.

The sale of alcohol is prohibited without the corresponding municipal permits. In the case of tastings, these must be coordinated in advance with the production team.

10. ACCEPTANCE OF THE RULES
Submitting the application form implies full acceptance of these rules. The organization reserves the right of admission and the authority to modify locations due to force majeure or weather-related reasons.

CINELEBU MATCH 2026
BIOBÍO CONECTA – INDUSTRY AND MARKET AREA

1. Introduction and Objectives

The Lebu International Film Festival (CINELEBU), in its 26th edition, invites filmmakers and producers from Ibero-America to take part in MATCH CINELEBU. This platform is designed to boost the growth, financing opportunities, and projection of audiovisual works in the development stage.

The program seeks to build direct bridges between the selected projects and key industry figures, such as public funding bodies, distributors, sales agents, and genre film specialists, fostering high-level strategic partnerships.

2. Date and Venue

CINELEBU MATCH will take place within the framework of BIOBÍO CONECTA, from May 26 to 30, 2026, in the city of Concepción, Biobío Region, Chile.

3. Project Profile

Categories: Proposals for short films, feature films, or fiction series (unfilmed projects) will be accepted.

Focus: The call is centered on works with high narrative and commercial value.

Slots: A maximum of six (6) Ibero-American projects will be selected.

Selection Criteria: Proposals will be evaluated by a committee of industry experts. The organization reserves the right to extend direct invitations to specific projects.

4. Funding and Logistics

Submission fee: Free of charge.

Travel: Travel expenses must be fully covered by the participants.

Accommodation and meals: The festival will cover accommodation and meals for one (1) representative per selected project for four days (during their presentation), in a shared room.

5. Key Dates

Opening: Friday, March 27, 2026.
Deadline: April 20, 2026, at 11:59 p.m. (Chile time).

Confirmation: Selected participants must formally confirm their attendance.

Failure to meet the confirmation deadlines will entitle the organization to assign the spot to a project on the waiting list.

6. Benefits for Selected Projects

Pitch Presentation: Presentation of the project before a panel of national and international experts. Each project will have 5 minutes for its presentation.

Business Meetings: Access to one-on-one meetings with industry agents.

Visibility: Inclusion of the technical sheet and profiles of the representatives in the BIOBÍO CONECTA Digital Industry Catalogue.

Accreditations: Two free industry passes per project (exclusively for the Director and Producer duo).

Industry Awards: Possibility of accessing awards or incentives granted by brands and strategic partners to support production or post-production.

7. Application Process

It is mandatory to complete the application form.

The information provided there will be used for the official catalogue in the event of selection.

In addition, applicants must attach a single PDF file in Spanish, labeled as: (PROJECT_NAME) MATCH CINELEBU.

Format: Arial font, size 12, double spacing. It must include:

Technical Information Sheet: Title, country of origin, duration, genre, and technical crew.

Synopsis: Maximum 1 page.

Narrative Treatment: 8 to 10 pages describing the plot, characters, atmosphere, and genre elements (do not submit the screenplay).

Biographies: Director and Producer (maximum 350 characters each).

Development Status: Current stage of the project.

Objectives at MATCH CINELEBU: Specific goals and needs of the project at the festival.

Work Plan: Schedule from pre-production to premiere.

Attachments: Letters of intent, secured financing, or interested co-producers.

8. Legal Aspects and Code of Conduct

Copyright: The applicant declares that they are the legal holder of the intellectual property rights. CINELEBU shall be exempt from any liability in the event of third-party claims.

Use of Image: Participants authorize the free use of their names, images, and project data for promotional, cultural, and festival publicity purposes.

Acceptance of the Rules: Submission implies full knowledge and acceptance of these rules and of the committee’s decisions.

Code of Conduct: CINELEBU applies a strict policy of mutual respect; any form of harassment or discrimination will not be tolerated.

Trademark Use: The use of the name or logo of MATCH CINELEBU requires written permission from the organization.

Conflict Resolution: Any unforeseen situation will be resolved, with no right of appeal, by the direction of the Lebu International Film Festival.

FILMA BIOBIO 2026

BIOBÍO CONECTA – INDUSTRY AND MARKET AREA


1. INTRODUCTION AND OBJECTIVES
FILMA BIOBÍO is an extreme filmmaking challenge developed within the framework of BIOBÍO CONECTA (Industry and Market Area) during the 26th edition of the Lebu International Film Festival (CINELEBU), to be held from May 22 to 30, 2026.

This program is co-organized by Bio Ingeniería Audiovisual Ltda., in strategic partnership with Universidad del Desarrollo, Universidad San Sebastián, Universidad de las Américas, Santo Tomás, CEDUC LEBU, Universidad Católica de la Santísima Concepción, Universidad del Bío Bío, and Duoc UC, Concepción campus.

Objective: To encourage creative teams (direction, production, cast, and crew) to use locations in the Biobío Region as the main setting, promoting decentralization and the dissemination of the area’s visual richness.

2. MANDATORY FILMING REQUIREMENTS
Geographical Locations: Although the use of previously captured footage or footage shot in other communes of Chile is allowed, it is mandatory that the short film include scenes shot in the cities of Lebu and Concepción.

Execution Deadlines: The shooting and final editing process must take place between May 22 and May 28. Delivery must be made on May 28 by 5:00 p.m.

Premiere Commitment: The completed work must be presented to the jury on the morning of May 29. The result will be announced at the BIO BIO CONECTA Closing Ceremony on May 29.

Penalty for Non-Compliance: Teams that fail to present their work within the established deadline must reimburse the organization for hospitality costs (accommodation and meals), valued at CLP $600,000 + VAT. This amount will be invoiced directly by the provider to the non-compliant team.

3. CONDITIONS OF PARTICIPATION

Profile: National or foreign filmmakers may apply.

The following information must be submitted:

Storyline / synopsis (highlighting locations in the Biobío Region)
Maximum 3 members per group: name, email, and photo of participants.

Selection: A maximum of 5 filmmaking teams will be selected.

Format of the Work: Short films on any subject, with a minimum duration of 5 minutes and a maximum of 10 minutes (including credits).

Submission: Through Festhome.

Dates: Call for entries from March 27 to April 20.

4. HOSPITALITY AND LOGISTICS

The organization will cover the following benefits for a maximum of 3 members per team:

Official festival accreditation.
Accommodation (shared basis).
Meals (lunch and dinner).

Note: Transportation of the teams to the city of Lebu shall be the sole responsibility of the participants.

5. TECHNICAL AND MATERIAL REQUIREMENTS
Equipment: Each team is responsible for bringing its own technology (cameras, lighting, sound, editing stations, and software).

Responsibility: The organization shall not be responsible for damage, loss, or misplacement of equipment, nor for technical cargo transportation expenses.

Insurance: No accident or equipment insurance will be provided; these must be arranged independently by each production company.

Final Delivery: The file must be delivered in .MP4 format (H.264), 24 frames per second, stereo sound, 1920x1080 resolution, together with its artistic and technical credits sheet.

Language: The works must be in Spanish or include subtitles/dubbing in that language.

6. AWARDS AND INCENTIVES
Post-Production Award: The post-production company Chemistry will grant the prize of professional image and sound finishing.

7. INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY AND LEGAL ASPECTS
Rights: The director/producer must guarantee ownership of exploitation rights, actors’ image rights, and music copyright (original or royalty-free music is required).

Ownership of the Work: The economic rights belong to the producer of the short film. However, CINELEBU and Bio Ingeniería Audiovisual Ltda. are authorized to use the work for cultural and promotional dissemination (for non-commercial purposes) in Chile and abroad.

Agreement: The selected participants must sign an agreement formalizing these regulations before the start of the competition.

8. MANDATORY CREDITS
All short films must include in their title cards:

Opening Credit: “Short film written, shot, and edited in FILMA BIOBÍO / BIOBÍO CONECTA, Lebu International Film Festival”, incorporating the FILMA BIOBÍO logo.

Production Credit: In the Executive Production section, the following must be included: “Bio Ingeniería Audiovisual Ltda. and Lebu International Film Festival”.

Mandatory Logos: Ministry of Cultures, the Arts and Heritage.

For the Winner: The winner must add to its credits and promotional material: “FILMA BIOBÍO, Lebu International Film Festival, BEST SHORT FILM AWARD”.

9. ACCEPTANCE OF THE REGULATIONS
Submitting to FILMA BIOBÍO represents full and unrestricted acceptance of these regulations. Any situation not provided for herein shall be resolved sovereignly by the festival organization.

CINELEBU WORK IN PROGRESS (WIP)

PRESENTATION AND PARTNERSHIPS

BIOBÍO CONECTA (BBC) is the Industry and Market section of the Lebu International Film Festival, co-organized with Bio Ingeniería Audiovisual Ltda., in partnership with Universidad de las Américas, Universidad San Sebastián, Santo Tomás, Universidad del Desarrollo, Universidad del Biobío, DUOC, CEDUC, and Universidad Católica de la Santísima Concepción. It will take place from May 26 to 30, 2026, in Concepción. In the event of any date changes due to force majeure, the organization will immediately inform participants.

BIOBÍO CONECTA is supported by the Ministry of Cultures, the Arts and Heritage and CORFO.

OBJECTIVES

Through this call, we also aim to foster the country’s cultural development by supporting creative industries and linking investment in culture with other productive activities, which, as part of its action lines, include the following:

Promoting the development of national and international short films.
Promoting the Creative Industries through short films and associating them with tourism promotion in order to enhance employment and regional development.

ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS

Audiovisual works submitted to CINELEBU Work in Progress must meet the following conditions:

The audiovisual works must hold the nationality of their country of origin. In the case of an international co-production, a contract or memo deal must be provided indicating the percentage of participation of each country.
WIP CINELEBU applies only to short films and they must have at least a first cut.
Fiction and animation short films may participate, with a maximum running time of 15 minutes, including credits, and with open theme.

There is no limit to the number of projects that may be submitted by the same production company or person.

PARTICIPATION

Those interested in participating may submit their short films free of charge on the Festhome website until April 20, 2026.

Being presented at the WIP does not prevent the project from being submitted to other CINELEBU programs.

REQUIRED DOCUMENTATION

Complete the application form for the WIP CINELEBU call on the website www.cinelebu.cl, including acceptance of the terms and conditions of this call.

Include in the form access to the rough cut or first final cut of the film, or to a working copy (not longer than 15 minutes) in Spanish version. Only links to password-protected videos on online platforms will be accepted. Materials that are publicly accessible on the Internet, without password protection or platform identification, will not be considered.

Add high-quality photographs (+300 DPI) of the team members who will participate online in WIP CINELEBU, as well as a still or poster from the film (for the industry catalog).

WIP CINELEBU will recognize the signatory of the application as the sole point of contact for all matters related to the project’s participation and as the sole person responsible with regard to other companies or persons involved in it.

AWARDS

Two awards will be given:

CHEMISTRY AWARD

This award will be granted by the Mexican post-production company CHEMISTRY, which will become co-producer of the short film.

The award consists of image post-production and deliverables services for a maximum value of USD 30,000 (in Mexican pesos at the exchange rate applicable on the date of award).

CONDITIONS FOR THE DELIVERY OF THE SERVICES GRANTED BY “CHEMISTRY”
The services will be received by the producer of the project selected by THE JURY.

The services are non-transferable.

The services are not redeemable for cash.

The services are granted only for the winning short film of the WIP 2026 edition.

The services must be used within the 12 months following the announcement of THE WINNER OF THE SERVICES. The delivery date of the finished short film will be coordinated with the company Chemistry and the CINELEBU management.

In order to receive the services mentioned above, the producer of the selected project must comply with the following condition:

a) Sign a co-production agreement with CHEMISTRY, establishing the technical and financial terms of CHEMISTRY’s participation as co-producer of the project. These terms, as well as the legal documentation required for the execution of said agreement, will be provided by the Production and Commercial Management.

FESTHOME AWARD

This award will be granted by the prestigious Spanish short and feature film distribution company FESTHOME. The award consists of distribution support for the short film for one year at festivals that are part of the platform. The approximate value of the award ranges between USD 1,000 and USD 3,000.

CONDITIONS FOR THE DELIVERY OF THE SERVICES GRANTED BY “FESTHOME”
The services will be received by the producer of the project selected by THE JURY.

The services are non-transferable.

The services are not redeemable for cash.

The services must be used within the eighteen months following the announcement of THE WINNER OF THE SERVICES. The delivery date of the finished short film will be coordinated with the company Festhome and the CINELEBU management.

* In relation to these awards, the filmmaker reserves the right to accept or reject conditions that are not stated in these rules. The organization will bear no responsibility for the awards or the agreements; it acts only as a mediator and will provide all relevant information to both parties regarding both awards.

JURY

The jury will include one representative from the post-production company Chemistry, one representative from FESTHOME, and one representative from CINELEBU.

CREDITS
The short films winning this program must include the WIP CINELEBU / BIOBÍO CONECTA logo in the opening and closing credits, and, depending on which prize is awarded, the logo of CHEMISTRY and/or FESTHOME as applicable.

The winners of the awards must also specify at the beginning of the film:
“Cortometraje premiado en / film awarded at WIP CINELEBU”, accompanied by that message’s logo, together with the logos of the companies sponsoring the corresponding award.

IN CASE OF SELECTION
Selected filmmakers are required to attend the WIP CINELEBU pitches. This is an essential requirement in order to be part of the selection. Up to 3 members of the project may participate.

Participants authorize the publication of the information provided in the catalog and on the official festival website, as well as in other promotional materials.
Selected filmmakers must send the latest version (rough cut) of their film to be delivered to the jury in digital H264 format. Submitted short films must have a minimum running time of 5 minutes and a maximum of 15 minutes, in Spanish or with Spanish subtitles if necessary.

The result of the WIP CINELEBU awards will be final and will be announced on May 29 during the closing of BIOBÍO CONECTA.

The participant must confirm their participation by means of a simple sworn statement, committing to comply with the delivery of the requested materials and the presence of the director during the week of May 26 to 30.

The finished short film must have its pre-premiere or premiere at CINELEBU 2027.

For this edition, the organization will cover accommodation and meals for one person per selected group, in a shared room.

In addition, a 1-minute cut or teaser will be required for promotional materials on the website and social media.

The organization may grant accreditation to those persons the groups deem appropriate.

The screening copy must have English subtitles.

The participant must mandatory have a screening copy on a USB drive or portable hard drive.

ACCEPTANCE OF THE RULES AND REGULATIONS

Any doubts that may arise regarding the interpretation of these rules, as well as any conflicts resulting from their application, will be resolved by the organization of the Lebu International Film Festival. Likewise, the organization of the Lebu International Film Festival reserves the right to establish specific exceptions to these rules and provisions in cases of force majeure.

Submission of the participation form for WIP CINELEBU, duly accepted, confirms the signatory’s participation in this call and implies acceptance of all its terms and conditions by the participant. Any matter not provided for in these rules shall be resolved by the festival organization.

The Lebu International Film Festival, through its Industry and Market area BIOBÍO CONECTA, invites filmmakers and producers to participate in CINELEBU LAB 2026. This program is designed for audiovisual projects in development seeking technical and artistic guidance to become viable works with national and international projection.

BIOBÍO CONECTA is co-organized by Bio Ingeniería Audiovisual Ltda., in strategic alliance with:

Universidad del Desarrollo, Universidad San Sebastián, Universidad de las Américas, Universidad Santo Tomás, CEDUC LEBU, Universidad Católica de la Santísima Concepción, Universidad del Biobío, and Duoc UC Concepción Campus.

It is funded by the Ministry of Cultures, the Arts and Heritage and CORFO.

1. KEY DATES

Call for Entries Deadline: April 20, 2026.

LAB Dates: May 23 to 30, 2026.

Venues: Lebu (24 to 25) and Concepción (26, 27, 28, 29), Biobío Region, Chile.

2. THE PROGRAM

Selected projects will have access to private and personalized advisory sessions with leading industry professionals in the following areas:

Direction: Miguel Angel Rocca
Executive Production: Daniel Pensa
Screenwriting: Edui Tijerina
Distribution and Marketing: Giovanna Escuti, Ian Carrasco

The sessions will be held in person, with a maximum duration of 30 minutes per advisory session, and applicants must register depending on whether they apply to Lebu or Concepción.

3. APPLICATION REQUIREMENTS

Feature film or short film projects (fiction, animation, or documentary) of Chilean, foreign, or co-production origin may apply.

Mandatory condition:
Full availability of the representatives during the event dates (May 26 to 30, 2026).

4. APPLICATION PROCESS

Applications must be submitted exclusively through the form on the website www.festhome.com

Applicants must attach:

High-resolution photographs (+300 DPI) of the people who will attend the advisory sessions, indicating their role.

Project Dossier: A single PDF file (mandatory) containing:

Cover page: Title, names of the producer, director, screenwriter, and Production Company (if applicable).

Short synopsis: Maximum 5 lines.

Long synopsis: Maximum one page, Arial 12, in Spanish and English.

Director’s short biography: Maximum 500 characters including spaces, Arial 12.

Development status: Mention commitments already secured, potential co-producers, and talent/casting.

Technical sheet: Confirmed information as of the application date.

Preliminary financing plan.

Note: Failure to comply with any of these requirements will render the application invalid.

5. SELECTION CRITERIA AND BENEFITS

Selection will be based on the coherence of the proposal and the quality of the submitted materials.

Accreditation: Free access to all BIOBÍO CONECTA activities.

Meals: Two lunches will be provided per selected group.

Certification: At the end of the program, a certificate signed by the Festival Directorate and the corresponding advisors will be awarded.

Important: BIOBÍO CONECTA will not cover accommodation or transportation expenses for the selected groups.

6. PARTICIPANT OBLIGATIONS

Attendance: Mandatory in-person attendance at all activities scheduled for the Industry section.
Credits: The production agrees to include the CINELEBU LAB / BIOBÍO CONECTA logo in the credits of the final copy of the work and in all promotional materials. A commitment document will be signed accordingly.
