The UNICINE International Film Festival celebrates national and international cinema with the aim of recognizing, promoting, and supporting audiovisual creators, as well as strengthening the dissemination, awareness, accessibility, and understanding of diverse themes of social and cultural interest among a broad and diverse audience.

The festival represents an innovative initiative designed to offer quality entertainment with social consciousness, fostering dialogue, reflection, and diverse perspectives through the language of cinema.

The festival will take place as an in-person event, enabling the participation of filmmakers, producers, students, and audiovisual professionals from various regions of Bolivia and around the world.

Registration for and participation in the Festival constitute full acceptance of these guidelines, rules, and terms established by the organizers.

All expenses incurred by participants in attending the festival, taking part in in-person activities, receiving accolades, or collecting prizes—including transportation, accommodation, meals, and other associated costs—shall be borne exclusively by the individual participants.

Once prizes have been awarded to the winners, neither the festival organizers nor the jury shall bear any responsibility regarding the use, transport, preservation, or disposal of the awards granted in each category.

Prizes will be presented during the festival's official closing ceremony; the venue, date, and time will be announced in due course via the Festival's official channels and social media platforms.

Any situation not covered by these guidelines will be resolved by the Festival organizers, whose decisions shall be final and not subject to appeal.

Cash Prizes: 1,000$

- Official festival laurels.

- $500 for the best international university short film.

- $500 for the best international short film.

a) REGISTRATION:
Participation in the Festival requires the
registration of one or more audiovisual works.

b) AUTHORSHIP:
The registered audiovisual work is the exclusive
property and responsibility of the authors.
If any person claims the economic rights
to the work, it will be automatically disqualified.

c) FESTIVAL ASSETS:
Works registered for the Festival automatically
become part of the Festival's assets and video library,
while respecting respective copyright laws; by the mere
act of submitting their work, participants
accept all terms set forth in this
call for entries.

d) LANGUAGE:
Works must be presented in Spanish; if other
languages ​​are used, synchronized Spanish
subtitles must be included.

e) COPYRIGHT:
The stories and ideas embodied in the registered
short films must be original; in the event of any
claim, liability will rest entirely
with the holder of the rights to the registered audiovisual work.

f) DEADLINES:
The deadline for registering audiovisual works
is 11:59 PM on Saturday, November 14,
2026, exclusively via the Festhome platform.

g) PRE-SELECTION COMMITTEE
AND JURY:
The pre-selection committee is composed of
the president and the director of Unicine; both
will ensure the optimal quality of the registered
audiovisual works to be presented to the jury.

h) JURY:
The composition of the jury is the exclusive
prerogative of the Festival, and members will be
chosen from among the most renowned professionals in the field.

i) JURY VERDICT:
The jury will ensure the quality of the selected
works and may declare any category void
if there are no works (requiring a minimum of 10
registered entries) that meet minimum
quality standards; their decision is final, and
registration fees are non-refundable.



  Festhome holds accountable fees festivals by holding the payment of the fees of most newer festivals until they have viewed the submissions, held their festivals and other methods.
