The Narrative to Frame International Film Festival (TNTFiFF) values how a story is told over how much it cost to produce. We honor the filmmakers who masterfully transition the soul of a narrative onto the canvas of the frame.
Our festival bridges the gap between text and lens. We champion both the literary depth of the script and the visual architecture of the screen. With zero budget constraints and an all-in, inclusive policy for all cinematic categories, TNTFiFF is global celebration of cinema dedicated to the journey of pure storytelling.
Designed as a platform that travels to a new international host country each year with Western Australia positioned as its inaugural debut!

Official Rules & Terms of Entry
1. General Eligibility & Submission Guidelines
a. Democratic Budget Boundaries: The festival enforces absolutely no restrictions regarding a film's production budget. Ultra-low-budget indie shorts, student graduation pieces, and multi-million dollar studio feature films are evaluated on equal creative footing.
b. Global Inclusivity: Submissions are open to filmmakers worldwide. There are no geographical restrictions on where the film was produced or the nationality of the creators.
c. language & Subtitling: Films in any language are eligible. However, if the spoken language of the film is not english, the project must include hardcoded or embedded english subtitles at the time of submission.
d. Completion Date: We understand that Covid 19 caused major disruption to filmmakers. As such, we welcome artistic visions; projects completed on or after 1 January 2019 are eligible.
e. Fee waivers - Due to international monetary sanctions, the festival will waive fees for independent films made in Iran, Cuba, North Korea, Syria and Russia ONLY. However, these are not automatic. The festival will consider each request on a case-by-case basis.
2. Formats & Categories
a. All Categories Welcomed: Filmmakers may submit to any of the following official categories on Festhome: Narrative Feature, Documentary Feature, Narrative Short, Documentary Short, Animation, and Experimental Cinema.
b. Multiple Entries: Filmmakers may submit more than one film, provided that each project is submitted as an individual entry with its own unique submission form and fee.
c. Work in Progress: If you are confident in your work, submit it! However, all submitted files must still adhere to official rules and terms of entry, per Rule 1c.
3. The Grand Prix Trophy & Adjudication.
a. The Grand TrophyWinner Principle: While submissions are categorised by genre, grading, and non-monetary jury laurels, all official selections enter a unified pool.
d. Jury Discretion: The decision of the grand jury is absolute, legally binding, and final. No correspondence, appeals, or feedback requests will be entered into regarding the selection or grading of films.
4. Itinerant Model & Screening Rights
a. Exhibition: By submitting a project, the filmmaker acknowledges and agrees that Narrative to Frame is an international travelling film festival. While Western Australia is heavily positioned as the primary candidate for the historic inaugural event, the physical host country changes with each edition.
b. Screening License: Upon official selection, the filmmaker grants Narrative to Frame International Film Festival a non-exclusive, royalty-free license to physically screen the film for the public up to three (3) times during the active festival week of the current edition.
c. Promotional Usage: The festival reserves the right to use short excerpts, trailers, posters, and stills (not exceeding 10% of the film's total runtime or a maximum of 2 minutes) for promotional, marketing, and press purposes across print, digital media, and television.
5. Copyright, Indemnity, & Legal Clearances
a. Original Ownership: The submitting party guarantees that they hold all necessary legal rights, copyrights, and clearances for the film. This includes, but is not limited to, the music rights, actor likeness releases, script rights, and third-party stock footage clearances.
b. Indemnification: The filmmaker agrees to indemnify and hold harmless the Narrative to Frame International Film Festival, its staff, venue partners, and sponsors from any and all legal claims, liabilities, losses, damages, and expenses (including legal fees) that may occur as a result of copyright infringement or unauthorised screening of the project.
c. Submission Fees: All submission fees paid through Festhome are non-refundable. Under no circumstances will a refund be issued if a film is disqualified, not selected, or if the filmmaker chooses to withdraw their film from the festival lineup.
6. Whilst every effort and encouragement are made to send the winning films to distributors and media houses, The Narrative to Frame International Film Festival provides no guarantees that your film(s) will be picked for distribution or be featured by the media, as those decisions are beyond our control.
7. Our festival celebrates outstanding cinematic achievement. To maintain the integrity of our selections, awards will only be presented if the jury determines a submission fully meets the exceptional benchmarks of that category.
Consequently, winners may not be named in every category. This also applies to the grand trophy winner.
