The Los Angeles Horror Competition is an international awards organization by horror filmmakers for horror fans and accepts genre submissions from all around the world.

We honor quality productions and want to give filmmakers a platform to show off their talents to the world.

All Official Selections, Nominees and Winners will be announced on our website and via social media. In addition to receiving a certificate, every winner will get an opportunity to purchase a trophy, and the best of the show award winner will receive $250 cash.

Our jury consists of industry professionals who do this out of love of the media.
Every filmmaker also has the option to receive detailed feedback on his or her submission.

Rules and Regulations

1. Film Entrants must submit a secure online screener via Festhome. We do not accept physical screeners.

2. All entries must be in English or - Subtitled, dubbed in English.

3. Once selected, the filmmaker needs to provide promotional material such as posters and trailers to the festival.

4. Exceptions to the festival regulations must be authorized by one of the Festival Directors.

5. Each filmmaker can submit several projects, but each entry must be accompanied by a separate Entry and fee.

6. Submissions will not be returned.

7. All fees are non-refundable.




  Festhome holds accountable fees festivals by holding the payment of the fees of most newer festivals until they have viewed the submissions, held their festivals and other methods.
