Short films. Open to young filmmakers between 13 to 18 years old.

The competition is open to anyone between the ages of 13-18.
Choice of subject is open.
Films should be no longer than 10 minutes and should have been produced no earlier than January 2014.
Films will be accepted in any language as long as they are subtitled in either Catalan or Spanish.
They can be presented in any format with the exception of .mov
For optimum viewing 1080p and minimum 720p is recommended but any resolution is acceptable within a creative framework 
Short films with advertising purposes will not be accepted, nor will complete or partial montages of audiovisual material unless given express permission by the original creator.
Films must not contain declarations, information or facts perjorative or damaging to any person or group of people.
The festival reserves the right to used the selected films for the non-profit diffusion and promotion of KBFF and CineCiutat
In case of infringement and/or breach of rules, registration fee is non-refundable.
Films directed by young people who are minors at the time of entry must be accompanied by the authorization of their parents or legal guardian.
Prizes


First Prize for the best short film (director): a 9 month professional course in cinema and TV production at the CEF
Second Prize for the best short film (director)
Prize for the best new actor: a course in Dramatic Art at Estudi Zero Teatre del Teatre Sans de 130h
Audience Choice Prize: (film most voted for on the day of the prize giving ceremony): a selection of graphic and audiovisual materials
Youth Prize; the winner of this category will enjoy a 1 year subscription to Filmin (https://www.filmin.es) as well as being entitled to participate in Filmin’s monthly short film competition


All prize winners will be required to present proof of identity.
Festival organizers will contact directors of the selected films to inform them of the necessary technical requirements for their screening on the day of the prize giving ceremonies.
