The Sogamoso Independent Film Festival - FECISO has established itself as a vital space for the exhibition and promotion of Colombian cinema in Boyacá, highlighting the diversity and richness of the country's audiovisual narratives. It has also stood out for being a regional window for the circulation of international cinema in Colombia. In 2025, the Festival will hold its ninth edition from November 1 to 7 in the municipalities of Sogamoso, Nobsa and Tibasosa, province of Sugamuxi, Boyacá.

FECISO begins the search for short and feature films that reflect the social, cultural and political realities of Colombia and the world. The curatorial line is focused on highlighting works that address issues such as the environment, violence, armed conflict and the cultural diversity of the territories.

RULES

Registration must be made only through the Festhome platform, between February 1 and July 1, 2025.

Registration fees:

- Free for the National Competition, New Filmmakers Competition, Regional Competition, School Competition, VR Competition, Videoclip Competition and Guaque del Sol Competition.

- 10 USD for the International Short Film Competition

Works that are available to the public on the Internet will NOT be accepted. Video clips must not meet this requirement.

Works registered in previous editions of FECISO will NOT be accepted.

The same director or producer may register a maximum of one work per category.

For the screening and pre-selection process, the submitted works must have Spanish subtitles if they are not spoken in this language. The creators of the preselected works undertake to deliver the subtitled exhibition copy in a timely manner according to the schedule of the call.

Requirements for screening copies of selected works. Resolution 1920x1080, MP4 format.

The selected works will be asked to send the following information via email through WeTransfer, Drive, FileMail or other storage platforms:

1. Copy of the selected work's Projection, minimum HD resolution 1920X1080

2. 3 images (frames/still photo) of the work in 300 dpi resolution, jpg format

3. 1 photo of the director in minimum resolution of 300 dpi, jpg format

4. Poster of the work in minimum resolution of 300 dpi, jpg format

5. Trailer of the work in HD

6. Word text document with: Short synopsis, country, year of production, duration, original language, director profile, link to the trailer, name and contact email.
