The ColoriQuadri Association, with the aim of promoting short films as a form of entertainment and a means of communication and raising awareness of social issues, is organising the seventeenth edition of the “Muuh Film Festival”. The works received/selected will be screened during the Festival, which will take place at Cascina DUC in Grugliasco (TO) on the evening of Friday 11 September 2026 for web series and on Saturday 12 September 2026 for short films.
- "Best Short Film (or web series, where applicable)"
- "Best Director"
The winners, announced at the end of each evening of the festival, will be awarded prizes specific to the venue of the event.
Each filmmaker is invited to attend the final awards ceremony and/or to ensure they can be reached by telephone, so that they can be contacted directly by the organisers should they be declared a winner.
RULES
- Purpose
The ColoriQuadri Association, with the aim of promoting short films as a form of entertainment and a means of communication and raising awareness of social issues, is organising the seventeenth edition of the “Muuh Film Festival”. Although the festival is essentially open to any theme, it will be the responsibility of the organising Association, in line with its statutory mission, to collect and subsequently select works that express or promote content “respectful of constitutional principles and human rights”.
The works received/selected will be screened during the Festival, which will take place at Cascina DUC in Grugliasco (TO) on the evening of Friday 11 September 2026 for web series and on Saturday 12 September 2026 for short films.
- Entry requirements
The Festival is international in nature and there are no restrictions on the age or profession of participants.
- How to enter
Each individual creator may submit multiple works for the Festival, provided they do not exceed 8 minutes in duration, including titles, and only one short film may be selected from among these.
As regards web series, each individual creator may submit multiple works; from these, two episodes will be selected, the combined duration of which must not exceed 16 minutes.
The creator (and/or a member of the cast or production team) must ensure their presence at the screening of their short film (or series) or provide a video or produce a video greeting (generally lasting between 30 seconds and 1 minute) in which the Muuh Film Festival is explicitly mentioned: otherwise, the film will be submitted as normal, but will be excluded from the subsequent voting stage and, consequently, from the awards ceremony.
- Submission of entries
To participate in the festival, entries must be sent to the ColoriQuadri Association by Friday 19 June 2026.
Along with their entries, authors must submit the video message and the registration form, duly signed and completed in full.
- Jury and awards
The selection of short films to be screened during the festival will be made by the organising body.
The titles of the selected works will be published on the Association’s website https://www.coloriquadri.com/
or communicated via email/telephone to all authors by 12 August 2026 at the latest.
During the Festival, the jury will consist of members of the audience, who will be asked, at the end of each screening, to cast their vote in the following categories: "Best Short Film (or web series, where applicable)‘ and ’Best Director".
The jury’s decision shall be final.
The winners, announced at the end of each evening of the festival, will be awarded prizes specific to the venue of the event.
Each filmmaker is invited to attend the final awards ceremony and/or to ensure they can be reached by telephone, so that they can be contacted directly by the organisers should they be declared a winner.
- Liability
Participation in the Festival implies unreserved acceptance of these regulations:
• The works submitted and presented in competition remain the property of the authors, who however grant the ColoriQuadri Association free, indefinite use of them for the following purposes:
- possible publication on the website www.coloriquadri.com and on any other websites identified by the organising body
- use for promotional purposes of the “Muuh Film Festival”
- screening of the films during subsequent editions of the “Muuh Film Festival” and other non-profit events organised by the ColoriQuadri Association.
- possible publication produced at the end of the event by the ColoriQuadri Association, in agreement with the authors
• The content of the works submitted (images, music, animations) must be in order with regard to the payment of S.I.A.E. fees and comply with current copyright legislation: participation in the festival implies that the author bears sole personal responsibility for any irregularities, as also confirmed in the registration form.
