Welcome to the Second Annual 1st Ever Multi-Genre International Black and Brown Film Festival.

We're located in Queens, NY, USA with submissions by Filmmakers, Singers, Poets, Dancers, Comedians, Musical Bands, Web Series Producers and including Categories for Best Business Commercial and Best Trailer - 15 Countries have submitted so far and we can't wait to see your project!

Anyone from Anywhere can Submit - We share all stories.


NEW FEATURE: Filmmakers and Directors can submit up to a two-minute person Video about their project, cast, vision, upcoming project. Make sure to mention Queens Underground Film Festival and it will go up on the Virtual Platform and we will use the video to promote for this festival and future festivals.

Projects from all countries and in all languages are accepted. Must include English Subtitles. No projects can contain hate, too much profanity, racism, offensive subject matter, nor excessive violence or discrimination of any kind-towards any group.

OCTOBER/November: GENERAL INTERNATIONAL SUBMISSIONS

FEBRUARY/April: Related to Black & Brown History and may be submitted by Anyone. Projects can relate to the Past, Present, Future, Social Issues, Comedy, Sci-Fi, Drama and all other Categories. 1 Day Opening Reception with Trailers and Panels.

April: 2 - 4 Days of Screenings, Performances, Red Carpet, Awards, etc. for Black History Month.


Projects by young people are Welcomed!

-Free Submission for the next Festival
-Your Project will be up on the Virtual Platform for 30 Days
-Your Personal Video will be up on the Virtual Platform and Internet TV Channel for 30 Days
-A written Article about you for several large publications (where you can discuss your project, upcoming projects, fundraising etc.)
-Airing of your complete Project on several Internet TV Platforms
-Consideration to submit your next Script to a Major Movie House

Value: US $3,000

Submit for Categories:

ALSO FORWARD TITLE SHOT. AFTER SUBMISSION, LAUREL WILL BE FORWARDED TO YOU. ENTRANTS ARE EXPECTED TO PROMOTE AND TAG @filmfestivalsQueensUnderground

Once accepted, you must submit the mp4 file for Screening. As a live platform, we cannot stream from an outside platform (Vimeo, Youtube, etc.). We are also a mobile and virtual festival and cannot rely on internet service at other Venues.

A Poster with a Title is required. A Trailer is suggested.


CATEGORIES
1. Movie Short: From 10 minutes to 20 minutes; (please note that any films which were submitted prior to the ten (10) minute minimum length will still be accepted and judged as all other entries;

2. Small Business Commercial (small business under 10 employees) no more than 2 minutes;

3. Performance Video (poets, singers, dancers, musicians, writers, songwriters, rappers) no more than 5 minutes.

4. Web Series Episode may be submitted with episode time up to 30 minutes.


Films, Performance Videos (Singers, Rappers, Poets, Musicians, and Storytellers), and Small Business Commercials (with under 10 employees) may be submitted from anywhere in the world.

If the audio is not English, complete subtitles in English must be included for all characters and sounds.

Filmmakers may submit several movies, videos, or commercials per category and/or submit works for 1, 2, or 3 categories - each submission requires a separate application.

You understand and agree that your work is original and not copy written by any other individual or group. Your work may include whole or part of any works that are classified as Public Domain in the United States Of America.

By submitting your film, video, small business commercial, photo’s, short bio and synopsis (required) you are giving us full permission to use any or all of the materials to promote, advertise, market, and screen publicly on the day of the festival and beyond up to and including airing on TV.

Submissions may not contain any or suggest any content that is violent, racist, libelous, defamatory, obscene, pornographic, hateful, sexual, culturally, or ethnically offensive in any way.

Queens Underground 718 reserves the right, to remove or delete your submission without notice and without limitations where any instances of non-compliance have occurred.

Entry does not guarantee acceptance into the film festival, all requirements must be met. Scheduling times during the screenings is determined by Queens Underground. You will receive a copy of the Playbill via email or may view on our Website or Instagram accounts.

Full credit for all participants must be included.

All deadlines must be met.

With your submission you are hereby agreeing to indemnify and hold completely harmless the Queens Underground 718 International Film Festival, Queens Center Of The Arts, its management, juries, subsidiaries, agents, sponsors, affiliates, etc. from and against any and all claims, liabilities, losses, damages, and expenses (including but not limited to attorney’s fees, and all court costs/fees) which may be incurred by reason of any claim involving copyright, trademark, credits, publicity, screening, and loss of, or damage to, the screening videos entered.

You understand that If entries exceed the expected amount, the dates for screenings and announcement of winner may be extended.

You will be notified of any changes for dates, policies, and pricing.


If you do not read or speak English - you are responsible to find and utilize a translator or translation App. All communication with the Festival Team must be in English. Queens Underground does not accept responsibility for any Non-English miscommunications.

Translations for your submissions must be accurate and exact. Any entry with misrepresented subtitles will be removed immediately. Subtitles must be in English

Entry fees and other fees are non-refundable. Cash prizes, if any will be sent in US dollars and only transferred through standard online business Apps, such as Paypal or Zelle.
