WE CAM FEST is the first inclusive film festival in Colombia. It brings together the cinematographic content related to disability in the world. An innovative proposal that, in addition to showing other perspectives of life through cinema, seeks to be a platform for the creation of content made by and with people with disabilities, in order to recognize their contribution and talent for the environment and society.

Juries and Recognitions:
We Cam Fest will appoint a jury composed of three (3) individuals related to the film industry and culture. As part of the process, at least one (1) person with a disability will be involved.
Decisions will be made by a simple majority vote under secret scrutiny. The final results cannot be contested and are final.
The winners will receive recognition in each of the following categories for their work:
Best Short Film Award
Best Feature Film Award
The jury may declare a category void if there is no winner.
Please note that the following special recognitions will be awarded, which are not part of any category and therefore not competitive:
Special "Accessible" Recognition for accessible tools in production.
Special "Inclusion and Representativity" Recognition for the suitability of the content.

About We Cam Fest:
We Cam Fest is an event that takes place in Colombia, featuring international showcases and bringing together disability-related film content from around the world. It is an innovative proposal that not only showcases different perspectives on life through cinema but also serves as a platform for creating content made by and with people with disabilities, aiming to recognize their contributions and talent in the industry and society.

Call for Entries Guidelines:
We Cam Fest gathers perspectives from around the world through the eyes of people with disabilities, and in this edition, it invites filmmakers, producers, collectives, or associations to participate in the 2024 call for entries, following these terms of reference:

Timeline:
Opening of submissions: 07/14/2023
Deadline for submissions: 03/31/2024
Announcement of results on the website: July 14, 2024
Receipt of materials for exhibition: July 31, 2024
Any material submitted after the specified date will not be considered.

Only one (1) category can be chosen to participate in:
Short Film
Feature Film
The We Cam Fest reserves the right to change the category of submitted films if deemed necessary.


Submission Requirements:
Works with themes related to disability or that have been made or involve individuals with disabilities in their technical team can participate.
Companies, individuals, associations, or collectives from any country worldwide can participate. In the case of a group, a spokesperson or a single representative must be designated.
The minimum age for participation is 18 years at the time of registration.
Films previously exhibited at national and international festivals are eligible.
The film must be in Spanish. Otherwise, it must have Spanish subtitles. Subtitles in other languages are not accepted.
Incomplete films will not be admitted.
The same director, producer, or distribution company can submit more than one (1) film.
There will be no payment of fees or rental for films screened at We Cam Fest.

Registration and Material Submission:
Those who wish to submit their projects must upload the film and complete the registration form with all the information on the Festhome platform at the following link:

Under no circumstances will material be accepted through other means or platforms. Only registrations submitted through the Festhome website, fully completed, will be considered. Incomplete or missing information will automatically disqualify the submission.

Registration costs will be covered by We Cam Fest. Participation is free for the festival through the Festhome platform (This platform charges approximately 2.5 Euros for content reception, which corresponds to the platform operation cost, not the festival). After the submission deadline, any sent material will not be considered.
By registering with one or more films, the applicant agrees to the terms of this call for entries.

Selection and Projection Copy Submission:
The We Cam Fest and its curatorial team will select the official films for the festival. Only the selected films will be notified of their selection via email.
The announcement of the Official Selection will be published on the website www.wecamfest.com starting from July 14, 2024.
If a film is selected, the copy for exhibition must be sent with the following technical specifications:
Resolution: Full HD (1920x1080) or higher.
Container formats: .MOV or .MP4.
Audio: PCM or AC3 / Mono, Stereo, or 5.1 (48000 Mhz 16 or 24 bit).
Codecs: Apple ProRes 444, Apple ProRes 422 (HQ), Apple ProRes 422, or H264.
Subtitles: Films with dialogues in languages other than Spanish must have subtitles in Spanish or English.

The We Cam Fest team will contact the author or representative (in the case of a company or collective) of the selected film to arrange the sending of the materials required for the exhibition and the necessary documentation.
The author or representative of the film must also sign the work authorization that will be sent to their email address.
Under no circumstances will the shipping and return costs be covered by the We Cam Fest. Therefore, the applicant is responsible for any expenses incurred for this item.

Eligibility Conditions:
Applicants must comply with the provisions outlined in this document. If, after receiving the material, it is determined that the film fails to meet any of the requirements, the author or the copyright holder will be informed via email, and the film will no longer be considered by the judging panel.
The applicant guarantees that the submitted film is original and does not have contractual, legal, or judicial limitations that prevent its screening and availability at We Cam Fest.

Exhibition Rights, Copyright, Image, Reproduction, and Availability:
By completing the registration form and submitting the film materials, you, as the copyright holder, agree to the following conditions:
You authorize We Cam Fest to communicate, distribute, reproduce, exhibit, and make the film available to the public at the festival for its in-person and digital screenings through the festival's secure platform and non-profit events called We Cam Fest Sessions, without infringing upon the rights of the We Cam Fest, its organizers, and partner companies. No economic or in-kind compensation will be requested.
You will send the required materials for the exhibition of your film to We Cam Fest without exception. Once the participant is registered, they cannot request the exclusion or withdrawal of the film from the festival if it is part of the official selection.
All films included in the official selection may be considered for screening, distribution, exhibition, and availability at We Cam Fest and other events related to the festival. Therefore, the selected films will be informed via email about the instructions for sending high-quality materials and completing the required formats for public communication, reproduction, distribution, exhibition, and availability with subtitles, either partially or fully, in academic events y/o participation events directly related to We Cam Fest.


Privacy:
By accepting this regulation, associations, groups, collectives, authors, or representatives of all films authorize We Cam Fest to process their personal data in accordance with the privacy policies established under the parameters of Law 1581 of 2012 for the Protection of Personal Data in Colombia and in compliance with the provisions of Article 10 of Decree 1377 of 2013, which regulates Law 1581 of 2012. The information and personal data provided to We Cam Fest as part of the registration and related processes of the call for entries may be processed, collected, stored, used, circulated, deleted, shared, updated, and/or transmitted in accordance with the terms and conditions of the privacy policies established by the festival and its organizers, as applicable, primarily for promotional, commercial, administrative, contact, and communication processes related to the promotion of We Cam Fest. In accordance with the procedures contained in the law, data subjects may exercise their rights to know, update, rectify, and delete their personal data by sending their request to the email address wecamfest@fundacioncinesocial.org
