Festival start: 22 March 2023      Festival end: 26 March 2023

Moritz Feed Dog is an Inedit Productions project, a cultural dissemination platform thats acts as a distributor, rights management company and producer.

Moritz Feed Dog is the only Festival in the state that revolves around the exhibition of fashion documentaries. Throughout five editions, the world of audiovisual and fashion have come together in this proposal that flees from trends and that focuses on fashion as a cultural entity.

We believe that one of the most seductive characteristics of fashion is that it allows us to interpret the reality in which it appears, since it is born, grows and develops as an expression of the human condition. Therefore, fashion becomes a window and a reflection of the history, the economy, the cultural and social movements that have shaped our evolution. Our desire is to accompany the viewer on a journey through audiovisuals and fashion to discover the past, understand the present and imagine the future, focusing on the differential and unique gaze of filmmakers with the will to show the world of the fashion from another perspective.

Moritz Feed Dog is held in person in Barcelona, and for 2021 a hybrid festival is planned that includes a face-to-face and an online part. In addition, the Festival is also held in Sao Paulo, Brazil. Although they have their own artistic team there, the documentaries selected in Barcelona are automatically also valued by the Brazilian committee.

There is no competitive in Moritz Feed Dog

Documentaries that fulfill the follow requisites are selectable for Moritz Feed Dog:

- Genre: Documentaries related to fashion.

This can be approached from any point of view or focus, be it social, aesthetic, ideological, biographical, anthropological, etc. The style does not influence the selection criteria. Fashion films and any other projects that doesn’t fit into the documentary genre will not be accepted

- duration There are no restrictions on duration for selection purposes.

- Cases in which the film is still in its production phase: You can send us a work-in-progress, but we will only accept one version prior to the definitive version. As such, we recommend that it is the most complete version possible and that you clearly list what is missing. Bear in mind that we will base our judgement on this screener (whatever state it is in).

The deadline for submitting entries for Moritz Feed Dog is January 31th.

Moritz Feed Dog has a Selection Committee, which evaluates all submitted films in order to create the new festival edition.

The Selection Committee’s decision will be communicated by email to the contact address provided in the registration form and will be final.

All the films that have been selected will receive a contract that formalizes their participation in the Festival. Following this formalization, the Festival must be provided with the corresponding promotional and the screening copy. The Festival will cover transport costs for the screening copy.
The Festival reserves the right to official publication of the list of selected titles, and will agree the order and screening date of each documentary. The Festival commits to not screen each title more than three times during its physical dates (excluding possible prior press screenings).

From the time of signing the participation agreement to the date of the closing of the Festival the film may not be withdrawn from the Festival, and the obligation stands to provide the Festival with all materials required for the optimal screening of the film with sufficient notice. The Festival reserves the right to refuse participation to any film that does not comply with the technical requisites for a high-quality screening.

In 2023, the Festival will be also online through our on Video On Demand platform. This website is only available in Spain, secure, geolocalized and pre-paid. Selected films will be accessible online from the day of their screening in the physical cinemas until 10 days after the end of the Festival.
